You mean a female Qunari will be literally blown away when you fondle her breasts?

Would that be the Thedas equivalent of the Guy Faux gunpowder plot?

I just remembered the Orlesian ball artwork BW released some time ago. Anyone else trying to imagine a heavily face-painted female Qunari with max-sized horns and a scar wearing a ball gawn at an Orlesian ball? Oh wow, haha.   :D

For added hilarity, imagine some snooty nobles trying to play The Game with said Inquisitor.

They don't have masks for nothing.

And people said Qunari would make for bad rogues, HAH!!!

Size doesn't matter when being a rogue, the trick is not to hide in plain sight but to keep a good distance to guards or avoid them completely.  Play some of the oldschool Thief games on nightmare difficulty. I remember a map, you had to infiltrate a police station to steal evidence material, the problem was the game was set in a steampunkish-victorian world and the place was extremely well lit with electric lamps.  Since there was no way to hide you had to learn the patrol routes of the guards (by sound) and you could only move to another room / hallway when there was no guard present. You could use arrows to distract the guards and to lure them away, you could peek around corners, thats it.

Thats how a master rogue works.

2) The Qun is about efficiency, and ability to preform tasks. They do not use sex for pleasure and do not feel romantic love. There would be NO reason for them to go out of their way to breed their women to be sexy to humans. They would breed for intelligence, strength, stamina, etc...things that would be useful.

Selection towards attractiveness has very real, practical applications. Whom are you more likely to tell secrets? The horny ladyboy, or the huge ass scary devilman made of muscle? A f*ck-ugly sow of a woman, or a drop-dead georgous sex goddess?

There's a reason companies prefer sexy salesmen/women.

ok, but that's dependent on the society you're in though. the reason why certain features are considered sexy is because we're socialised to think so. the qunari have completely different values though, they don't care about being appealing to other people. it'd make sense their women would be large, no-nonsense and full of sharp angles because that closely correlates with the things they value. it'd make absolutely no sense for qunari women to run around in tiny bikinis and look incredibly feminine because they put no stock in things like seduction.

Unless they (or some of them anyway) were specifically selected according to their prospect targets' preferences, which was the practicality I suggested.

And maybe, just maybe Qunari women already are something of a universal fetish in Thedas. The uncanny semblance to them Desire Demons can't be pure coincidence and maybe those demons just build their appearance on the Qunari woman fetish everyone seems to have.

Food for thought.

You do that, my Femqunisitor will pose as Desire Demon. And who knows, maybe those strange powers the Inquisitor have are demonic in nature. Maybe he/she is a demon, or a possessed vessel driven by a good natured, Qunari fetish'ed fade plumber spirit.

I approve. But I think we'll be able to edit her appearance obviously. So those who want a "more feminine" giant female ox-head will probably get their wish. Me? I want to make a female human look as Amazonian as this Qunari.

What "uncanny resemblance"? If the qunari inquisitor we saw is any indication of what kossith women are going to look like in the game, you're going to have to somehow turn blind eye on how no one except your unique snowflake PC looks anything like them.

Damnit, don't put all the labour on me, misappropriate your own lecherous imagination!

It is disappointing to see the lack of ink-blot eyes.

Expected, but not willfully so.

The rest is satisfactory. Just would hope there's eye colour variance.

Apart from the horns I absolutely don't see it. Wasn't the point of this that the desire demons look exactly like female qunaris shouldn't and thankfully don't look like?

I mean, if you're into hot women with horns and want to make your inquisitor one no one's stopping you, but it's hardly surprising that qunari women don't look like super models.

(Even though I personally think the one in the trailer is plenty attractive anyway.)

Actually, if you compare the earliest published female Qunari concept art, they do look remarkable like a Desire Demon template.

Give her different horns, make her skin tone purple and dress her skimpily and you got a Desire Demon.

Just as ugly as I would have expected a Qunari to be.

I don't know, IMO even the concept art (which obviously isn't what they look like in game anyway) is not exagerrated enough for it to be close to a desire demon. But hey, that's just me.

Qunari society is totally different. you can't judge them like that by comparing them to us. For one thing their society seems to be very segregated. Men and women have different roles and even among the Ben-Hassrath, the females generally deal with other females and the males with other males. So even if being sexy gave some of the female Ben-Hassrath an edge it would only really work against lesbians. Also why do you assume the females wouldn't be considered sexually attractive?  If you mean who they use to spy on other races then they would mostly use members of other races to do that depending on what the job was. I think your idea of an effective spy is a little bit crude and unrealistic if that is in fact what you are saying.

Is it me or her arms in the demo are smaller than they should be proportionally to her body? It always gets my attention.

I am so, so happy with the female qunari.   She is perfect as she is.  Haters can just, you know, not play her.

Indeed. FemQunari is completely customizable. With a billion facial combinations people freaking out like they won't be able to make an attractive femQunari is somewhat amusing. Especially since there's a chance you can make a femQunari completely hornless and I'm sure they'll have smaller horn options.

I'm not really sure if her arms are too small for her body, or if her cuirass is just really bulky. That could be the case.

And a tail, shave her head then set it on fire, carve her ears to be round, make her much shorter, remove any trace of muscle, clear her eyes out,  tone down the powerful jaw and prominent cheek bones, and then I dunno get her to start levitating and sure we've got a Desire Demon.

The qunari have never been described as anything but (insert colour of grey, silver, bronze, and or gold) skinned giants. The female qunari conceptually looks far different than the Desire Demon does in game and in its concept art.

240px-Creature-Desire_Demon.jpgCould just be me but I'm not seeing a big similarity here.

The only similarity is that they have horns, and are female.

That's... literally it. And the horns aren't even similar.

I did not know this. I now demand that all races have magical boobs or pre-order cancelled!

Wynne must be behind all of this with her magical bosom! EGADS Zevran was on to something!

So, we finally get to see a female Qunari in game! Man is she ugly!! But in all seriousness now, I'm thankful Bioware showed her to us, at E3 no less. I only wish we could hear her voice.

I'm going to have to agree with this guy. She looks like a Qunari and that alone means she can't look like a model. The Qun doesn't ask for model, and I'm willing to bet it would consider them pointless.
