The point the poster was making:
Male Qunari: Wow he's so badass and powerful!
Female Qunari: WHAT, where's the cleavage?? I want to WANT to bang her! She's not pretty enough for my genitals!
In essence.
Well.. where is the cleavage?

she looks powerful. like a qunari should be.. Pfff.. If they showed the male qunari instead, most of the comments would be about how bad ass he looks. *rolls eyes*
Sad truth.
And some of the comments here make me roll my eyes.

lol yes
I don't see how see looks badass btw. She needs at least a beard and beer belly. Babyfaces don't make good badasses.
Also arms are too thin. Can't be badass without your arms being wider than your hips.
I absolutely love it. I think it's perfect too.
The idea of playing a Qunari rogue just tickles me because of their size. So hyped for playing. We have seen every race/gender combo except female dwarfs now in action.
I am IN LOVE with this Qunari design. Now I can finally play as a woman and feel STRONG and POWERFUL, like I've always wanted to do but have up until this point been.. denied. Finally I don't have to play as a guy to kick ass!!
*gasp* For once "female" and "sexually attractive" aren't in the same sentence... What is the world coming to?? Burn the villages!!!
Precisely.
Why do women have to look "masculine" in order to feel strong and powerful? Isabela is a badass in her own right as well. She dresses how she wants, act how she wants, w/o any regard of how other people view her. She's secure in herself and can fight against any man or thing.
Breeding between species is possible, just rare (and even rarer for the offsprings to maintain ability to procreate further) That has little to do with Thedas though, where the breeding between elves and humans was said to work essentially "because magic" and as such our own world rules simply don't apply. Is it confirmed that the different people in Thedas are species?
Because so far everything indicates that they are just different races, with interbreeding (elfXhuman is confirmed, humanXdwarf is strongly hinted at in the codex), which wouldn't be possible if they were different species.

Ah yes, the inevitable question has arisen.
No they don't have to look "masculine," and actually I didn't say that the Qunari female looked masculine in my post. I said she looked strong and large and badass, and you are inferring that those traits are automatically "masculine."
Anyway I get your point. Yes a skinny short busty lady can be kickass. However when ALL female protagonists have generally fit the same model, finally getting the option to play as a large and intimidating-looking creature is cause for celebration. For me, anyway.
In my humble opinion, I don't think Bioware could have done a better job with her appearance. Bioware should be very proud of the work they have put into this game.
I absolutely agree.
They have surpassed my expectations. I couldn't be happier.

I really like this reply.
Sounds like a lot of people were expecting a "Night Elf" and not a Qunari...
When I first saw the F Qunari from the screenshots on Twitter, I actually thought she was really ugly, but during the demo today I am glad to say that my concerns were just because of the degraded picture quality. She looks and moves quite well. Maybe a bit too much wiggle going on since she's wearing some pretty heavy clothes... but whatever, I won't complain.
I'm gonna make a male qunari and pretend I'm playing female. Win Win. That way she will be both beautiful and badass.
*sigh* God forbid we have a female that isn't universally attractive and can't serve as sexual fantasy fodder.
It isn't enough that a woman is competent or has a winning personality. No, she has to be stunningly beautiful too.
A man can look like whatever the hell he wants and be fine.

why do you think she looks masculine?
Because being honest "she" looks like a male to me. In fact I would've thought the character was male w/o question if Bioware hadn't been specific. Still have problems believing it now.
It's ok, Bioware is gonna take notice how succesful femqun looks and make all future female pcs ugly and wide. Finally women will have everything they ever wanted in gaming.

At the risk of asking about your personal life, do you know many feminine looking men, and perhaps that is effecting your judgment? Because her faces is very feminine. She has sharp feminine features and cheekbones and eyes. I knew she was female instantly and frankly it kind of astounds me anyone can't tell. Her features aren't the generically attractive feminine features bu they're still obviously feminine. It's not like things you would consider ugly are all automatically male looking.

I cannot possibly understand that. We know how male Qunari look like, hell we got the perfect example of one seconds later, in the form of the massive Iron Bull. Compared to that 8 feet tall slab of half-ton meat, the FemQun looks almost waifish. She has sharper features too. Sorry, you are entitled to your preferences and all but I cannot conceive someone can look at her and think she's the same gender as the burly behemoths every single male qunari have been up to this day.

I agree with this.
I dunno I think some "gamers" have forgotten so used to the naked skinny busty ladies that they've lost their ability to recognize anything that deviates from that model as female. ![]()
Why does a woman who dresses like Isabela "dresses how she wants" but one who dresses like Qunari Inquistor is called "masculine" as opposed to maybe, "dresses how she wants", too? Why aren't both considered "secure in herself"? One could argue that not giving a flying four letters whether one is being called "masculine" and insulted on this ground is precisely that, after all.Why do women have to look "masculine" in order to feel strong and powerful?
