Totally agree! I just wish they didn't talk over the cutscenes with her!
Yes, that was annoying.

The face is perfect but I kinda dislike the way she walks and the slim arms, I mean if I want the Fem!Inquisitor that is a warrior Quanri, I hope they would not walk like that and look a lot more heavy. For a mage the character seems great, probably gonna roll and elf or dwarf to play warrior, if this turn out to be default.
Meh I thought she was male in the SS too. *shrugs*
Also yeah those wide shoulders and those skinny twig arms look hilarious together.
Her walk is nice though.

What do you think of the voice?
I didn't hear it for very long to get a good feel for it in the trailer. Too many other people talking.
In the companions trailer though. Traynor's voice is lovely. Definitely going to use that. (I especially loved how she did the intros).
Why does a woman who dresses like Isabela "dresses how she wants" but one who dresses like Qunari Inquistor is called "masculine" as opposed to maybe, "dresses how she wants", too? Why aren't both considered "secure in herself"? One could argue that not giving a flying four letters whether one is being called "masculine" and insulted on this ground is precisely that, after all.
I think this feminine/masculine thing went way too far. Lot's of people use these two words out of context. Plus his comment about Isabela wasn't in regard to the Femqun rather to the notion that pc women should "look" badass and a favoritism towards suppressing the more attractive features cause they are not as important. What he said is that Isabela "is" badass without having to "look" badass.
Not sure if you are a man or a woman, sorry, but you should know that when most men say that a woman looks like a man, they usually mean she looks bland, like what another man looks to a straight man. It's something we do. I'm generalizing of course but people that insist tend to not give as much thought on features and details as at the general picture. Most of us are not really equipped to have this conversation cause we don't really care about it.
I hate this political correctness. Kills all the fun.
I think she is awesome and I'm totally stoked that I got my DAI reveal wish. Female Qunari ftw!

If people think she looks like a man, maybe it is because they find guys in general ugly as ****. Because when you analyse that type of comment, the only thing I can get from it is, I would not date my gender because my gender is horrible ugly and they have a fart face.
For example when a male character looks like a girl, it is oh he is a *****. Of course there is other things to consider the lack of security in ones sexuality too.
To me she looks like a quanri and that is all that matters really, all this talk seems to cisgendered.

Dude if you think people liking the chance to play as women and also look big tough and badass is political correctness I think you're using those words about as correctly as you use the word masculine. There's really not a favoritism towards suppressing more attractive features. Most female characters are made to look attractive. People being excited that they have the rare option to play a big and strong bruiser as a woman are not stomping on your fun, as the CC will surely let you make plenty of women that fit your tastes of attractiveness.
My point was that the "zomg she is liberated and dresses like she wants" is typically employed in defense of what's really eye candy for the dudes, and by these dudes. While women who don't dress in a way that makes the guy's peepee move aren't granted the same benefit of doubt. No, these women don't dress "like they want" but they dress the way they do so they look "masculine", because apparently only for the guys it's a natural thing to wear sensible, protective outfits. When a woman does it "she is just trying to look like a man".I think this feminine/masculine thing went way too far. Lot's of people use these two words out of context. I loved the design and everything but yeah, her walk and arms were a bit puzzling/seemed to contradict the rest of her
. Overall though, I'm really impressed and absurdly excited to get my hands on the character creator
FemQunari Inquisitors everywhere!!!
At the risk of asking about your personal life, do you know many feminine looking men, and perhaps that is effecting your judgment? Because her faces is very feminine. She has sharp feminine features and cheekbones and eyes. I knew she was female instantly and frankly it kind of astounds me anyone can't tell. Her features aren't the generically attractive feminine features bu they're still obviously feminine. It's not like things you would consider ugly are all automatically male looking.
I cannot possibly understand that. We know how male Qunari look like, hell we got the perfect example of one seconds later, in the form of the massive Iron Bull. Compared to that 8 feet tall slab of half-ton meat, the FemQun looks almost waifish. She has sharper features too. Sorry, you are entitled to your preferences and all but I cannot conceive someone can look at her and think she's the same gender as the burly behemoths every single male qunari have been up to this day.
I'm not familiar with that many Qunari, other than Sten and the Arishock (and his companions) I could instantly tell they were male just by looking at their faces.
And I would've thought the the same about this one if Bioware hadn't said otherwise.
Given a number of people had no problem with recognizing the character correctly as a woman, is there a possibility your idea of what range of features women may sport got too narrow (due to exposure of certain, limited types of beauty and little else) ... and so maybe these personal standards could use some relaxing?I'm not familiar with that many Qunari, other than Sten and the Arishock (and his companions) I could instantly tell they were male just by looking at their faces.

Beautiful, strong, badass and definitely feminine while giving regular female beauty standards the middle finger. I'm very happy, this is exactly how I pictured a Fem Qunari in my head when they announced it a playable race. ![]()

Seriously, you really think that political correctness was about your preferences to play bruisers? Way to take a post out of context. Everything that is said on this thread is filtered. A word used a bit out of context to make the post shorter and more light can be perceived as an insult. And that's what my "political correctness" is. If I say the analogous of "retard" instead of "mentally disabled" on this thread, everyone goes on the warpath.
The problem here is that people have varying degrees of seriousness when they post on this thread so after 10 posts we have to read again and evaluate how serious they are, and if they are how rightly worded they are etc. That's what I'm talking about and I really believe that anyone without very strong opinions about this thread would see it my way. It was a white flag, which you ate!
Oh, by the way, there is another pic:

Weird noodle arms are kind of a dragon age tradition at this point, and I guess they haven't worked out how to get rid of them yet. Maybe it isn't as noticeable as a warrior or someone that wears big bulky plate.
I hoped for Draenei too. Sorry, I'm that guy ;p . But other than that, I seriously don't think she's well designed compared to male qunari. When I saw her the first time on a previous thread it seemed to me like an elf with horns on steroids.
The Draenei of Warcraft are horrendously oversexualized to the point of absurdity. I have no ide why anyone would have ever wanted that for the female Qunari. Just gross.

I mean if they change the walk having armor or something, that would be great.
For humans and elves that would be fine too but Qunari and Dwarves? nop, they should be a lot more heavy on the walk and the body. If you do not like that, you could just play an elf or a human, options for everyone. I really hope that is not the default walk even for female dwarf, because it is horrible.
Oh, by the way, there is another pic:
That armor looks so cool on her. I hope you can wear stuff as neat for most of the game.
Oh, by the way, there is another pic:
Not sure if male or really ugly female
Edit: it's the paint on the chin that keeps getting me. Looks so much like a goatee

I'm glad it didn't seem noticeable in the run animation. When I eventually make a qunari I'll probably run everywhere.
Edit: Well, when I'm not riding a drake
The point the poster was making:
Male Qunari: Wow he's so badass and powerful!
Female Qunari: WHAT, where's the cleavage?? I want to WANT to bang her! She's not pretty enough for my genitals!
In essence.
Psht! All PC's must be attractive! Equal objectification for all! (This sounds so wrong)
The chin tattoo honestly looked like scales to me, when I do my third playthrough of a female qunari there will be none of that nonsense, thank you very much.
