Or is this based on the "I'm pretty sure I saw him in the trailer" thing?

You can pause the video and clearly see Oghren's unique hair and beard. However, most people need to be told by BioWare because they can't trust their eyes.

Even if it is him, that doesn't necessarily mean he's playable.

But he would be returning in any case.
However, the fact that he appears in two parts of the trailer in a full group that consists of some of the new companions in front of 2 seperate bosses leads me to believe that him being a returning party member is a very safe bet.

Maybe after I know some more about it I might change my mind.

Show where it says "Oghren will be the old companion who is in your new party." Until that happens, not convinced. Could be him, could be someone else.

I wouldn't be interested if I can't use my regular party. I understand that Morrigan is gone, though. Alistair (I assume he is there somehow) and Oghren don't cut it for me. I am not a fan of those two.

Well, there's new companions so you don't have to take Oghren if you don't want to. The new companions could be very interesting.
From the trailer it looks like a Human Mage (M), Dalish Mage (F), Qunari Warrior (M), Unknown Rogue (M). They could end up being fantastic replacements.
The fact that he's in the trailer is irrelevant. So is Alistair.
Um, except for the fact that the same Dwarf is shown as part of a party of 4 on 3 occasions - 2 of them being boss intros. Alistair is shown in cutscenes and he can switched out with Anora in those situations. It's not a good comparison.

You build your party members' talents and spells around you. You equip them with the best stuff you can find and afford. You decide who is the healer, who opens the locks, etc. If those people with that functionality are gone then I might as well not play. You know what I mean?OnionXI wrote...

Nah. It's just not worth it. Starting over after the game has finished, doesn't make sense that way. I would like to continue and not start some kind of new game. But that's just me. Others maybe fine with it. Currently I am not. But like I said... Maybe I'll change my mind.SusanStoHelit wrote...
You can build the new ones that way. You can take your equipment with you, and apparently we're supposed to be able to respec in the expansion, even without a mod.

I'm confused about whether or not you understand what the expansion does.
