My bet is on Duncan returning. HE wasn't a true Companion (outside of the Journey from the Place of Origin to Ostagar), but he IS popular...

we are all talking as if the entire party has left when maybe it hasnt as dog will always stay with you so he cant return cause he never went anywhere and if BIOWARE decided the ending it could turn out that leilanna and alister didnt leave you either so they couldnt return as they never left , so what im saying is perhaps there is more than one old character in the expansion but 1 will return after leaving like morrigan who left or sten who always leaves at the end,



cause in my ending i always got alister and leinna with me when going to fight darkspawn somewhere so they wont leave to begin with therefore dont need to return

I think that the mortal version of Shale should return. I think a Dwarven woman chasing birds around would be funny.

Did they actually say "companion" though or just "favorite" ? I have seen so much speculation and mis-quotes that the truth is somewhat obscured by opinion and flights of fancy..



My own flight of fancy *grins* Duncan would be cool. The amount of threads about how it isn't feasible or logical would be super-fantastic. Would rival the "where is RtO" chatter I'd bet. ;-) Still, seeing Duncan dagger climb another ogre would be fun. Even injured and older he would be more nimble than he was that fateful day in Ostagar. ;-)



If not companions and just favorites ( i suppose that all depends on the person anyway right, i never really got to know Oghren. Im the only female in a house of boys so i have enough fart humour in my life already lol)



Sandal seems to be a fave. Of course he is also a cheap hire, actor wise though even if he *was* in it, i can't see him being included as advertising hype Teagan is popular, even if he wouldn't flirt with my Dalish elf rogue *insert snit here* Duncan is popular but supposedly dead. *shrugs*



Will have to wait and see i suppose. There will be new companions anyway, these ones were well written enough to cause a lot of attachment, hope and speculation for people, so I am hoping the next batch will be likewise intriguing.

That is exactly what my first thought was when I saw the trailer. I was trying to figure out in what other context that statement could make sense. Alistair saying 'I rather miss the whole Darkspawn killing thing' sounds as if he will resume being a companion. The way he says it gets me all excited; sounds like he's ready to do some major ass-kicking!

It would make sense for Alistair to make some kind of an appearance in Awakenings, he was a Grey Warden first before he was made King n as I said before he was 1 of the most recent Wardens to deal with the blight... As far as how much of an appearance well that will be the question

Don't get your hopes up; Cailan sounded excited about killing darkspawn too and look at what happened to him

He can miss darkspawn killing as a king who gave up his freedom.

Idf you watch the Queen of the Black Marsh trailer, it shows Ohgren walking up to the dragon, however, as the scene changes, it's a new character. hmmm......I think it's clear it's Ohgren

It IS Oghren in the trailer. However, seeing as how the creators of the game is all-powerful they might've just put him there cuz the guys creating the trailer were particularly fond of just Oghren. Or it's just to throw us off. Either way, it's definitely Oghren in the trailer.

Anyone who appear in trailer doesn't mean they will return ingame. It's depend on what you did on Origins though.

You might ditch them or convince them to stay, it depend on your choice

However thing you saw in trailer might be kind of example, like BioWare already set everything(in case you didn't import your character)

just wondering how many of you guys actually use orgren? hes like one of my least fav characters of the game, he only just beats zeveran cause of the gay come ons all the time and betrayal
