Iron bulk was still outside. Too heavy.

Or being dragged away to become a demon broodfather. (We don't know they DON'T have them)

David Gaider already commented on this in the twitter thread

1) It's set up for a demo. They did not legitimately play through the game to get to that point in the story. Don't take the level shown to mean anything at all.

2) What you're seeing will very much make sense when you play the game."

Basically the only conclusion that can be drawn is this: It is possible to do a mission in which it is possible that Sera (and possibly other companions) will be at the least incapacitated. All else is speculation.

How is it in the fade? Looks like reality to me.

During the IGN version of that scene, Mike talks about how the rest of the party is "paying a price" to allow the Inquisitor and Dorian time to cast a spell.

Sounds like THE IRON PRICE. On a more serious note - I can see it going either way; she may be dead, or she may have been knocked unconscious.

The sky shows the Fade enviroment shown in the screenshots.

It's just seem strange that we'd lost two companions in a single event.

We don't know that two companions were lost. Remember Gaider's tweet. Speculate but don't assume you know anything for certain until you play the game.

If it does take place in the Fade, I wonder if the Breach will allow for common wisdom to hold up or if it's changed the rules a bit.

If it was referred to me, I didn't mean that we lost them; my point was that it seems strange to me, so I'm not sure that event means we lost them.

I understand. It's left me more intrigued than anything else.

hopefully this is one of those things that can end up like the suicide mission where companion deaths can be avoided with proper prep and choices.

I think they just used her model as a place holder for that scene.

It seems like a very long cutscenes. It could be a dream sequence or a vision of a possible future. There are just so many possibilities that I am not going to jump to the conclusion that Sera is dead in that scene.

Holy crap. We haven't even gotten to know these companions yet and I'm already feeling saddened by their potential loss!

I'm starting to come around to thinking they just used IB and seras models instead of NPCs that should have been there. Especially since, if this is early in the game, it's odd you have sera, IB, and mustachio already recruited.

It's not early in the game, there was a skip and it's towards the end of a major questline. That said, fingers crossed.

Where can I get the E3 IGN footage? Busy busy. I missed it. If someone can hook it up they get dibs on Bat Signal privileges.

Heh, I'm kind of kicking myself for not considering this sooner seeing as I'm currently following a game (The Walking Dead) that does exactly that with their episode previews. I'd also say it's very likely given Sera's confirmation as a LI.

Let me know when you want to suit up and fight crime. I may even tell you... my secret identity.  :D

Thanks.

But that was waay early in the game. Level 7 Inquisitor indicates that. Since we start the game in Ferelden, I figure we progress west to Orlais and seeing as it was Redcliffe, I'm sure Sera isn't dead.

Naw, they were talking and fighting along side the Inquisitor, it's them. It's just we don't have all the context around that scene and all we know is we save Leliana, we fight the Venatori who are summoning demons and we are using a spell on a necklace. That's not too much to go on.

But like Mike said, it was Redcliffe and the veil tear was affecting it, so I still assume that is was the real world.

1)Gaided already responded to the level 7 thing (i posted the response here as well).
It could be that Redcliffe was sucked into the Fade.

This is the Dragon Age suicide mission. If you don't pick companions with the right skillsets to guard the horses, escort the villagers, defend the door, and magic zap the altar your companions will die!
