I want to just reiterate how sad it is from a marketing perspective that we had to rely on these getting leaked by a copyright infringer rather than Bioware showing us what femShep looks like.
Ditto.
You should be mad at the people playing leaked versions too.
Of the 4? or so character creator vids I've found, all of them were for male shepard.
There's no reason for me to be mad at the player's choosing male Sheps. It's getting said quite often around here but Bioware should have thrown the femshep fans some kind of bone. Oh well, just have to demand it come Mass Effect 3.

**Furthermore**
Do people actually point it out to you? I'd think your Love Interest at least might make a mention of the fact that your skin is falling off and your eyes are melting into terminator lenses.

So wait, do you HAVE to be renegade to get your eyes like that? I thought they weren't going with the whole retarded Fable idea of having alignment mysteriously change how you look. As if acting mean somehow degrades you on a physical level?

Gaining renegade points does that to your appearance automatically due to it interfering with your healing.
However, you can pay a one time fee to remove all the scarring and keep it from coming back.

What. The. Hell. Is this for real?
I'm speechless.

From the interviews I've heard
The more renegade you are, the worse the scarring gets to the extent that your implants will start to show through (like the red eyes)
The more paragon you are, the faster the scars will heal.
If you do no want scars, you can pay to be healed to remove them completely, at which point they won't occur again, however, the procedure is expensive.
Also it seems like other teammates can be scarred as well, though I'm not sure how, I'm guessing story decisions.

That part I didn't know, thanks. Thankfully I can get rid of this grotesque rubbish, but it just makes me so goddamn angry seeing BioWare pull their own - very good - universe apart for cheap stunts like this. I suspect I should start getting used to it.

Yeah. All characters start off with light scarring due to the medical process you're undergoing not being completed before you're woken up.
Positive thinking is supposed to help your implants heal you, which is their explanation for this mechanic.
I think I'd wait to see how late in the game is it before you can remove it before I'd get angry, though.

Oh! Thanks for linking that! I would not have looked since I figured official pictures of femsheps weren't going to happen after all this time. I'm thrilled with those screenshots! That one picture of femshep standing next to Miranda ... she really pops out. It's almost like Miranda who?rynluna wrote...

(yeah.. uh... seems to be a lot more stubble options this time around. Yes, I'm fairly sure those are all separate choices, before you ask.)
There, fixed it for you by hard linking the pics, just fyi, theres a button at the top of the comment box that says "Insert/Edit Link" makes peoples lives a heck of a lot easier, again, just fyi...

That's actually the same amount that they had in the last game.
I prefer stubble over the real beards, just because Bioware is kinda bad at it. I still remember if you had a chinstrap in DA:O it would hang off of your cheeks. Just air between the beard and your face. Weird.

Maybe they'll release customization DLC packs? I doubt it, but one can hope.
