I don't agree with "don't feed the troll" at least not in certain situations. Sometimes it's worth saying something.
Yeah, I mean, Martin Luther King, Jr. is a notorious troll feeder, in that case.

I am hardly known for progressiveness and I've butted heads with plenty of y'all, but I don't think I've changed anyone's opinion on this board
HUH, I didn't release homosexuality was such a big part of dragon age. Unless your interested in a gay romance, its very easy to not even notice. Believe it or not, a lot of players aren't even interesting in any rommance at all. I know, shocking.
Leliana's Song is the most apparent time homosexuality plays a key role in events.
I haven't responded to a single post of hers.
Oh sorry, I was talking to those that have responded.
Aren't you just as guilty of that though? I said I don't agree with you, so just leave it and go argue with someone else.
...wait, on second look my comment might have been vague haha. I meant her comment was clearly homophobic and not even pretending to be anything else. "I don't want gay people around me." Just making sure you're agreeing with what I actually meant heh.
No problem. ![]()
I was agreeing with the second half of your statement. The whole thing is just not worth saying when it will upset people. Not the decent thing to do in my opinion.
However it appears there is further evidence to back up everyone's claims, so I suppose it isn't likely to be 'role-playing' and is just not very nice. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt - but such is life.

Zevran shamelessly flirts with you, so does isabela. Anders pretty much forces you to reject him and Merrill expresses interest you. Saying it's very "easy to not even notice: is a obvious lie. So while homosexuality is not a huge part, it's there.
Yeah, I mean, Martin Luther King, Jr. is a notorious troll feeder, in that case.
Martin Luther King, Jr. did not make anonymous post on the BSN.
Unlikely but interesting. Not going to say it's impossible but I don't see Bioware going that route.
Maybe not, but that'd be a "Slow Arrow" if ever there was one.
I'm an Asexual person my orientation is not even in the game, ,and you don't see me bitching and whining all the time because 'something offends me', and Ican't get what I want! Get over yourselves
That really has nothing to do with anything I said.

I suppose it is if you care to notice. If your the type that just skips through dialogue, you won't even notice. and trust me, there are a lot of people that skip dialogue even in RPGs.

Lol, then why did you respond.

You can't prove that!

a lot huh?

it happens all the time here. people state that they won't even play games because the character is straight and has no option to sleep with the same sex. it happened a lot on the old boards too, more with mass effect admittedly.
i can get away with murder here if i complain about heterosexuals, or point out that this certain character "should be" this orientation. but if I do the same thing the 'other way' around, it's going to be a long day.
neither are alright, and i'm not promoting one over the other. but to deny that it happens here is laughable.
I generally don't play RPG's that don't allow me to create a female character. There have been a couple smaller RPG's in the past that I have been on the fence about and opted out of because while they did have romance options, they excluded s/s options.
That said, yes, you are correct in that there are always going to be extremes on both side.
My issue was when you told someone they were probably one of those people, just because she said something about s/s romance and called someone out on being a homophobe. Like I said before, I can't speak for anyone else, but most gay people that I know, don't hate straight people, nor will they say, "Oh, well you're straight, I don't like you so, you can't be in my group."
It's always the rogues.
Leliana's Song is the most apparent time homosexuality plays a key role in events.
I suppose, if you bother to play a DLC, I still find it a very very minor aspect of the game but hey, homosexuality is no big deal to me so I suppose I wouldn't really notice.
Lol, then why did you respond.
How does that question make sense to you? ![]()
I responded because I thought it was worth pointing out that this wasn't what I was saying. Obviously.
*And* if that happens, is there no complaints from any posters whatsoever? Because that's the claim that was originally made.it happens all the time here. people state that they won't even play games because the character is straight and has no option to sleep with the same sex. it happened a lot on the old boards too, more with mass effect admittedly.

Guys maybe you should just drop this before a mod gets pissed...
a lot huh?
Don't believe me, you need to watch more Dragon Age lets plays on youtube. But I warn you, they are disturbing. People skip all cutscenes and dialogue and play the game horrendously bad.
