Yeah but Varric is so awesome it'd be hard to imagine this. Honestly to me, Varric had the edge anyway, because he's Varric damnit.

Yeah, I mean, I suffered through MaleShep for Miranda, Jack, Tali, Ashley, and Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve.

I never could play with a male Shepard.  His voice just killed it for me.  Specially when playing renegade

Well it's either her or Varric. If I had to decide between the two, the only dealbreaker would be if I wanted to romance her. But since she's gay I won't be romancing her, so yeah she stays behind and Varric comes instead. It's not as sinister of a reason as you may think.

 

Pretty much my reasoning as well. She just made room for Varric. I'm thinking my party is going to be Cassandra, Vivenne, and Varric and nothing so far has changed that.

Contrary to what some popular books try to sell you, women aren't some magical creatures from another planet with cognitive processes completely unlike these of men. Roleplay what you think would make interesting person without focusing on her gender, and you can be pretty sure in the 3.5+ billion women worldwide out there, there's at least one like that.

That's actually really funny. I have straight people in my party all the time. In fact, I love straight people. I even love men. I just don't want to sleep with them. Wanna know what else, if a male party member hits on me in game (or hey a dude in RL) I just tell him I'm not interested and move on with my life.... It really doesn't take away from that character... Oh, do I love assumptions. 

 

Anyway, On topic, Sera is awesome and she grows on me more and more.

Wow, I was convinced that there was no way Bioware would make the pretty blonde elf unavailable to male characters. I have no problem with this though, she seems like a good choice.

IMO with games like this with reactive content you'd be doing yourself a disservice not trying out both genders, but that's just me.

I never said i nnever try out the other gender, i just very rarely make a female character. 

 

Im sure sooner or later i will make a female qunari, in fact i planned on it but i already had the idea of who i wanted to romance with what inquisitor and it just bothers me that now one option is eliminated

Theres 5 months between now and october. Ill probably get over it but im seriously considering rolling a femInquistor for her, theres just no other female in the game im even remotely attracted to.
