Iron Bull for sure, probably Varric as well. With the news that Sera is f/f she'll end up friends with my male Quiz as well.
As for how many I think are possible: I'd guess everyone save Cass, Viv and Cole (and all 3 advisers) would end up as possible 'bros'.

My male, qunari mage will hopefully bromance the Iron Bull. My party will be the Iron Bull, Blackwall, and Varric. Im going to bromance all of them (Iron Bull most of all though) and I thought they'd all kind of bromance each other and have really friendly and funny banter, but it seems there will be hostility between Iron Bull and Varric sooo.. ![]()

All the bros. The entire inquisition will just be bros. Even the chicks, lol. Except Vivienne cuz I don't think I like her, and Cassandra cuz romance. Actually, I have no idea about Scribe Girl, Cole, & Dorian's personalities, so possibly not them either… but everyone else… sure. Why not? Bros for life! Varric for best bro!
What are these "systems"? "Dude bro", "bro", "best bro", "3/3/3"… what is this? Like approval but for bros? This thread confuses me, hahaha
Edit: Wait… is this actually about gay romance? I think I'm out of the loop on the slang. I thought this was about "bromance" as in the classic buddy cop movie sense. Or is it? I'm terribly confused. Sorry, about that, lol

Pretty sure I said exactly what it was, via the examples. ![]()

So… friendship between dudes? Unless, I'm mistaken, but I'm not sure what the "systems" bit is, lol. Sorry, sometimes, I can be a bit slow. Also, I think "bromance" was used in a different sense in a different part of the forums (i.e. this guy seems straight so likely not up for bromance). Just thought maybe I should clarify.

Sera and the Iron Bull, of course.

No clue. Can I straight guy be a "bro" to Sera? She seems the coolest.
This doesn't feel like a merry band of adventurers though, like many games. More like "co workers" and various sticks in the mud. Varric is cool, but I'm not Hawke this time around.

I'm still wanting some clarification on the different systems proposed and how this would be different from regular approval ratings systems.

This is how I feel. She seems fun as hell. Maybe she can be my wingman. Winggirl. Whatever.

Definitely Blackwall. He and my inquisitor are going to share beard grooming techniques.

Likely the Bull and Dorian, possibly Varric, depending on his character development from DA2

I'm really hoping the best friend isn't Varric. That was his role in DA2; I'd like to see that change, get something different out of him.

I think it's really up to us. I could see someone with sympathy for the Qun or strong Templar leanings liking IB a lot. Others not so much.
What made Varric and Garrus "bro" types is their distance from any real ideology or extremes. Many types of people liked them (I wasn't a big fan of Garrus myself though. Not a big fan of cops).

I think the biggest factor in making Garrus a bro was the fact he was with us for a long time. He said it himself, he'd been there for Shepard since the beginning. They went through so much together.
I didn't get the same feeling with Varric for exactly this reason. He isn't there long enough, seems a bit distant and doesn't possess the same "through thick or thin" mentality that Garrus has. Ironically Varric knew Hawke (7+ years) longer than Shepard knew Garrus (around 3 years.)

Before I get into this can I have a real life or TV show definition of bromance because I'm not familiar with the term.

I don't know about real life. I hate everyone. ![]()
Typically the "buddy cop" thing in movies and shows, I guess.

Bro is short for brother.
Bro reflects the idea of someone you can joke around with, like you would a best friend, but treat like family. i.e "brotha' from anotha' motha'." or "Sista' from anotha' Mista'."
Think: Alistair and Varric from their respective games.

i hate to say it but i will have to wait and see how i interact with the characters first. on paper they all sound cool, but you never know. then again bias from previous games may come in.
however i have a feeling that varis, sera, IB and my rogue will be the best of friends
