I have liked every previous DA companion, or at least found them interesting to have around. (Before someone asks, yes, even Tallis. And Sebastian is one of my favourites.) So if Inquisition gives me someone I don't want to interact with it will be a first. I'm not really worried.

Visually i do not like the warden, because his beard is looking awkward and lower res to rest of his body. But in terms of what i know of his character he will be one of the most interesting to me. Having a warden in the party and not driving the course of the game but instead following you - very interesting.

I think this is the strongest cast in bw game (maybe on par with me2) but i miss the long haired woman and characters in general. DA franchaise avoid making those but it would be nice if sara was with long hair, rather than this horrible hair which resembles a winter cap.

All that said, in terms of personality i think i would care the least about Cassandra. She will be in the team only if i need her skills for certain fight.

My fav companion by far is the Iron Bull. He is twice the size of the arishok and i doubt i will ever take him out of the party in my first go.

Aye but somehow I don't take an instant dislike to her as I do the other two. *shrug*

Vivienne because if there is something I cannot stand in RL or in fiction its an overly arrogant pompous queen, they're a pain in the behind and annoy me to no end.

So far I think I won't like Blackwall and Vivienne, I won't kill them but they will probaply stay at keep a lot. Blackwall is grey warden and older warrior type .. just very boring for me as character. After his quote I'm even more bored about him. Vivienne in other hand, I don't generally like sassy, scheming and self-righteous people.. and she is even into fashion.  Ugh, she's total opposite of what I like ^^; I think my quizzys will get in the fights with her alot.

I don't hate any of them but as for the ones I'm side-eying suspiciously - Sera and Iron Bull.

Sera because I'm thinking that having someone who is described as impulsive and reckless around is... probably not going to be a good idea. Especially if you have to negotiate with nobles at any point. I suspect she'd go and do something stupid and spike the negotiations or make them a thousand times more difficult. I figure my job as the inquisitor is to create alliances in order to defeat whatever is behind all the trouble, not cause more trouble because I can't keep an idiot companion from being stupid. The good of the many is more important than the opinions of one companion.

Iron Bull because he still reports to the Bas.... whatever it is. Sorry, can't remember off the top of my head and I'm too lazy to look it up. :P Basically if we have an option to have a look at his reports and veto any significant tactical or strategic information, I'd be fine with that. I wouldn't even insist on feeding misinformation to the Qunari. But the idea of him feeding information directly from the Inquisition to the Qunari that would enable them to cause another bloodbath like they did in Kirkwall against nations already weakened by these Veil tears is not on in my books.

Cole tbh. He's unlikable and his character design looks blah. Would have liked another female companion instead (a dwarf?).

What did people have against Tallis? She was cute.

I'll pick them all up an after a few play throughs if certain ones bother me to much i just see what the options are for not picking them up, but i will be doing every companion story a few times with different race/gender situations so i really cant see me leaving any behind intentionally for awhile

Iron Bull and Blackwall, so far. Mostly because I hate Qunari and Wardens. That and I have enough warriors with my main character and Cassandra. Maybe they'll surprise me though. IB is (ex?) Ben Hassarath so maybe he can actually TALK about the Qun more than Sten or Arishok. Which I'd find interesting.

I'll reserve my final judgement until I actually get to know them ingame, but so far I like them all (I'd like to know more about Solas though).

This, after reading Asunder i hate him. Plus his design looks like he came out from Twilight or some other teenager show.

Apparently people think she's a Mary Sue. (I don't agree, although I think the game could have done a better job of letting the PC oppose her plans once they find out what's she's really up to.)

Tallis is OK. I only find her absurd when playing a mage.

by basing my judgement on how they look i would call Sera. Elf. Hair. Lips. Eyes.

however you never know until you play the game. too soon to call favorites and outcasts.

The Iron Bull I don't dislike him, but I know he will be just meh for me just like Wrex was in ME. A big character with a big weapon to swing around. Done so many times before  -_-  so boring...

What I've read of Vivienne's personally so far kind of rubs me the wrong way. The whole "survival at the cost of compassion" quote just really irks me to no end. It's taken me a long time to like Morrigan because of that mentality, but that said - I did wind up liking her after subsequent playthroughs. And from her dialogue in the PAX demo from last year, I think there will be a lot to like about her besides that.

Also, Solas just really isn't doing anything for me. The same way I've seen others respond to Cole is how I feel about Solas, but then, there really hasn't been anything personality-wise released about him, so I could totes wind up loving him. ;)

Vivienne. Some aspects of her bio I like, but some I really dislike.

Of course once you actually meet her in game it could be completely different.

Same here.  While I'll give her a chance (I didn't think I'd like Morrigan either,) she seems too pragmatic and a little too power hungry.  Also, to be frank, she seems pretty cruel as well.  Those aren't qualities that will endear me to a character.  At least she doesn't look like she'll bore me, which is already a step in the right direction.
