Poor Turians. Given how well they resisted the Reapers you think the Catalyst would have reconsidered the whole prioritizing human things, especially considering we got pwned harder and faster than anyone else.

Those words make perfect sense.

I just googled "Garrus is overrated", and the first hit is "Tali is overrated". Dextros can't catch a break.

I don't have high hopes for a potential Mass Effect 4.

To broaden sales and appeal to a larger market, the current rumors (and yes, I know, just rumors right now) say that it will have nothing to do with anything Shepard related, nor will it even be in the same timeline. And here's something that sounds illogical; there was a developer who mentioned that not only would Mass Effect 4 have no attachment at all to the current trilogy, it won't even be in its "past, present or future." Um.... What? So why call it Mass Effect 4?

Basically my fear is to appeal to a larger market and not feel hemmed in by legacy only customer base, they will scrap everything that makes Mass Effect Mass Effect and create something much too divorced from the established franchise. It's a nice business strategy because CALLING it "Mass Effect 4" or "Mass Effect: Some New Title [Here]" brings US back, but keeping it for all intents and purposes separated from what's established will make it easier for new customers to buy in who may not have been inclined to go back and play 1 2 3.

Of course, I say "my fear" out of obvious bias for the franchise. EA could make a smash hit that really is a load of fun. And on its own I may even enjoy it.

But don't call it Mass Effect if it really isn't Mass Effect.

My 0.02USD.

He said no such thing. What he actually said was that neither past nor present nor future had been ruled out, because Bio hadn't announced any actual information yet. Unfortunately, this statement was interpreted by idiots, who then gave everybody else the wrong impression.

Technically the Batarians got pwned harder and faster than us. And word on the street is they liked it.

Point conceded. I read a reinterpretation that was obviously mangled by one of those said idiots.

However I stand behind the rest of my argument though. That's just how gaming is.

But you weren't born yesterday and you've seen it happen in gaming enough to know? You seem an astute individual.

Like I said before:

Everything a new Mass Effect game needs is the following:

Mass Relays.

Element Zero and the mass effect

You don't need Shepard, nor a continuation of the previous trilogy or anything linking to the original trilogy at all.

And a better reviewing process.

And a fresh start.

If you ask the fans, all ME4 needs in order to be successful is all the MEU characters(customizable, so we can kill off the ones we don't like), all races plus a few new ones, all characters must be romanceable and get enough content, new locations and planets, a bunch of interesting new characters, gay, straight and trans romances (all races must be romanceable, regardless of sapience), good graphics and gameplay, availability on all consoles, a very badass protagonist that never does wrong, big guns and ships, story not too heavy or light, not too long or short, enough action(but not too much), all the most expensive VAs, plenty of customization options for, well, everything and a Hollywood ending. Surely Bioware will deliver, for it is such an easy task any of us could do it. Amrite?

You forgot to add it has to be a pre-sequel in an alternate universe that reboots the series. And that is has to feature Shepard while at the same time it doesn't.

If the krogan still talk, one has to mention it somewhere. Their minds are basically in their genitalia.

I love the characters in the ME trilogy, but this is where I say we need a new protagonist.

If the Citadel appears in ME4, I hope Garrus has his own statue. :P

Every day, Lenny raced his skycar through the traffic on the Presidium, barely making it on time for his shift at the Embassy Lounge. Every day he glanced up at the same moment that the Turian freighter Vakarian passed by overhead. Every day the freighter caused the same glint of bronze to flash from the Pesidium support structure as he passed underneath. Every day it blinded him for a second, nearly causing him to veer into the other lane. Today he would find out what was up there, hundred and thirty-seven regulations be damned.

As the skycar touched down a siren blared, and already in the distance Lenny could hear C-Sec skycars approaching. He alit from the vehicle and walked a few paces... and there it was, larger than life, a bronze statue of the famed soldier (now primarch) Garrus Vakarian, holding a M-92 Mantis Rifle, cocky grin on his face, standing on a small mountain of ...were those bottles?

There was an inscription, small, hard to read. The sirens were getting closer, a voice over a loudspeaker telling him to raise his arms over his head. But he had to know. He kept walking, felt the thud of the C-Sec car landing, heard the officer yelling at him to freeze. There, he could read it now...

Hail to the King and it was signed, "Shepard."

LOL! I hope they somehow forget Garrus's visor on his statue. Garrus would be angry...
