I can't comment on the male companions since literally not a single one of them appeals to me as a potential romance (yet) and we don't know a whole lot about them, but you get the idea.
Lucky me, all the companions appeal to me on all levels pretty much equally, if naturally for differing reasons. Of course I'll (try to) refrain from finalizing my Inquisitor's personality before all LIs are revealed, so the moment I start the game I'll have someone who I think would match up well with whomever I choose.
Yeah, and then the posts that kinda suggest one lesbian elf is a detriment to the elven race b/c she won't have elven babies with the male elf Inquisitor.
Those have been my least favorite.
Issues of real world patriarchal misogyny aside, that's actually a great angle to explore in-game. We've had characters (passingly) deal with that demand to continue the species (a fantasy counterpart to the expectation to continue the family (name) and/or ("pure-blooded") ethnicity many have to face around the world) when the issue suddenly raises its head during a romance storyline, but none that had to come to terms with them never being able to do so (unless, well, raped to put it bluntly) in their formative years. No matter whether Sera left her family because of that pressure, is ridden with guilt beneath her happy surface over this "fault" of hers, throws insults back at every hater that crosses her way or doesn't give a damn about it whatsoever or what have you, that is one example of stuff you can only write with clearly defined homosexual characters.
Is annoying, their happy restricting LGBT players from content, usually using the "realism" argument but make a attractive female gay & they flip sides complaining its unfair then demand she be made bisexual
Could you please refrain from throwing all "anti-playersexuals" into the same pot, thank you very much?
Yeah, I'm just ready for the all the love interested to be announced so that it's over and I can peace out of the forums until the game drops. The comments are getting to be a bit much, even for me.
So it has devolved back into the BSN? Whodathunkit.
