It's be confirmed they are more closely related to apes on or planet. Which mean they look more human/ ape - ish, than fish.Kwonnern wrote...
Just so you all know.
Without the suit, Tali have features that are quite similar to a fish, then again, so does Thane.

I did the exact same thing as you every time and I would go every time Miranda everytime there more too Miranda than Ashley not just in looks.
Miranda's character i think still has more mystery to her than Ashley and is more loveable
Also on the whole tali thing the only thing i find interesting about her is what does she look behind the mask apart from that nothing really there in my opinion (sorry tali fans I know there is loads)

I was a hard decision in Virmire.. Personally I would liked it better if I virmired both ashley and kaiden. Miranda gets too cocky bordering on annoying. Shepard should be the only one allowed to be cocky. hehehe
maybe Ashley's feisty sister xD

Ashley in my canon playthrough.
Miranda in no playthrough. Can't stomach it.

Ashley seems to be a good friend to have but she does get in your face when it comes to her beliefs, didn't really like that part of her since it felt like she was trying to push her beliefs onto you at times.
Miranda I felt was someone who acted the tough part but that was obviously a wall she puts up, once you get past that there is actually a decent person there who has a little confidence problem. Just someone who just needs to hear that she can do a good job because of who she is not because of what people tried to make and define her to be.

Miranda. At least she sticks by me at the end.
Ashley? What's up with her? I thought we had a thing going and I can't believe how she turned her back on me. I'm sorry, but if she couldn't trust me after all we had been through or even give me a chance to explain without her cupping her ears and going "lalalala", then it's better I kick her off the love train. A relationship without trust is as good as dead.

As a potential LI? Miranda. Ashley's attitude and stubborness is tiresome.
Watching my back in a firefight? Ashley. I tend to go for tech or biotics, so it's good to have someone who knows how to pull a trigger.

.. Ashley all the way ..
My will is strong to fell for Miranda's ehm "charms", seriously .. there are so many scenes hinting at her latex-ish ass .. It's laughable. Her purpose is simple, pump testosterone in your head and make you cheat on your first LI.

...neither? I Virmired Ash and Miranda gets on my nerves with her "I'm perfect" BS.
But if I had to choose, I'd go with Miranda for her rockin' ******.
Kudos to anyone who gets the reference.

Both characters are good, but there is one thing that i don't agree with Ashley: she is racist. I love the races. Garrus, Thane, Tali, Liara, they are my friends, i would die for them.
While Miranda defended Cerberus in the beginning, she changed and now she does understand that Cerberus is not what she thought. Besides, form me Miranda is more beautiful than Ashley.

Indeed. However...
Ashley doesn't seem to change or grow much over the course of ME1. I find her attitudes and beliefs annoying and tiresome. She was too quick to judge me without bothering to find out everything and didn't even seem all that happy that I was alive. Oh, and every alliance soldier has genetic mods, so she's just as 'fake' as Miranda.
Miranda is annoying at first, but does change and grow into a better person. Still, I think she needs more time to get comfortable being who she wants to be, not dwelling on what other people wanted her to be.
Jack is very pretty in her own way, but also very damaged inside. She needs someone to be a true friend so she can heal, someone she doesn't get in a romantic relationship who will always be there for her.
Kelly is fun and neat and definitely girl-next-door. Probably great to spend time with. She's a free spirit and not looking for anything permanent, more a good friend and occassional lover.
Tali is always going to be like a little sister to me, but maybe if she had a few relationships and matured a bit. I feel like she idolizes Shepard a bit too much and doesn't see him as he really is. Its also hard for me to justify endangering her life just for our carnal pleasure, even if she chooses it willingly. (Endangering it to save the galaxy is a different story.)
Liara isn't the prettiest asari, but she's cute. She's not without her flaws, but her socially awkward, bookworm-ish naivete was somehow endearing. I'm actually liking the growth and development she's showing in ME2, but I really think the writers could have come up with a better reason for her not to join the crew.

Ashley is like cardboard, and not even the fun kind you can make cutouts with.
