Yes, this can happen sometimes but it's very rare. Also she probably just figured out she liked men too. Straight dudes can fall in love with men too. Overal, those things don't happen too often, most people don't even go for the opposite or same sex because 'of chance'.

One night stands outside of sexuality happen, yes. I've had a couple with women during my days at uni. But I would never ever have considered entering a long emotional relationship with them, which is what the OP wants instead of mindless sex.

I've played Tomb Raider and Bayonetta and enjoyed them both. But I prefer to be a dude in games with CC because I don't enjoy making a character that isn't "me" when I have that option.

In general, when Bioware says 'romance option' they mean a relationship. They wouldn't count Diana allers as a full romance, for example.

I had it all planned with the protagonist of each game with different race and gender, and then this reveals goes and messes up my plans.
It´s not a big deal, maybe i will just go along with an elven inquisitor and no romance, like my dwarf in DAO. See a trend here? Yeah, humans always find love, it is so much harder for elves and dwarves to find a LI of their own race, not just a random human!
