They haven't announced all the options yet. Only three:

Cassandra (no idea if straight/gay/bi)

Cullen (no idea if straight/gay/bi)

Sera (lesbian)

There's still plenty of room there.

I think there is unlikely to be more than one lesbian only romance, and I think we can at least rule our Cullen being gay due to his infatuations with the female mage warden. He could be bi still though, as could Cassandra.

I like Sera, but i much prefer people having set sexual orientations. It just makes sense to me. My only issue is all options for Straight males will be human, and i will imagine some people might prefer a different race in fantasy setting

I prefer player-sexual characters. Mostly because I'm an alt-aholic and will most likely have an Inquisitor of every Race/Gender combination. Who I end up romancing, if anyone, on each of them largely comes down to whims at the time. I don't oft plan ahead.

I just know I'll be playing one of my dudequisitors and feel like getting close to Sera... then I'll remember I'm a dude and... "Awww... crap."

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Leliana will be romanceable if your Warden didn't romance her in DA:O.

I don't know i'm just speculating :\

That would be... pleasing acutally.

Sera is a lesbian? Where did it say that? If so, then LOL!! I can already imagine the rage from all the hetero male gamers(Angry Joe is gonna be so pissed haha). She was also my only romance interest in the entire game too, what a waste.

I'm an hetero male gamer, wanted to romance her, and I'm fine with it :) (I'm rather happy the lesbian option is in the party).

Yes, that's exactly it. There is literally only one romance in the game, and that's if you're a female and lesbian.

I think his post might be related to his opinion of Cassandra.

Well I'm neither a lesbian nor female, and I have no problem with engaging in a lesbian romance with Sera.

It sounds like the problem is more with you than with their decision.

I have preferences, one of those is playing as a Male character. That preference supersedes almost all others when it comes to RPGs. So yes, you could say that part of the problem lies with me, but I was under the impression Bioware games like to give the player a choice, not take it away.

This does not bother me.  It's just another good aspect of the game having real world issues that a person has to deal with.  I like that person, he/she doesn't like me.

You could also look at it like this: BioWare just made the choice of playing as a female Inquisitor a lot more attractive for you.

Wait Angry Joe mentioned wanting to romance her?

No. I meant when he reviews the game, he'll probably mention how he got friendzoned by her. He certainly doesn't have interest in she-man types like Cassandra, so his only option would be Vivienne.

But it would be absurd if they didn't take any options away, as well as unrealistic.

I mean, by not making the protagonist the first of their race to be born with wings, they took away our choice to engage in winged combat. By giving us a choice between male and female, they took away our choice to be a hermaphrodite.

By giving our inquisitors 2 hands, they took away the option to have a third hand that could continually ****** slap the enemy we're fighting.

You cannot make a game without removing the aspect of choice from at least some things, and in my opinion, the sexualities of others should be one of those things for realism's sake.

That is true but it's only ever been elves and humans in the past anyway. If this one turns out to be the first DA with a dwarf or a Qunari romance then that will be progress no matter who they are interested in.

Let me put it this way, if Bioware took away the option of playing a Male character in their games, I stop playing Bioware games.

LoL totatly out of context. I mean why is every single word thrown in as insult with you guys. I never said that . I only implied that she should be open to both genders, because she is one hell of a good looking character.

Completely in context.

1. I want men to have sex with this women.

2. This women doesn't like men.

3. I am personally offended because I find her attractive.

4. I demand she be attracted to men.

This is the logic you're using and I honestly can't find any way to interpret this thread but insanely creepy.

Except the Femme Forearms bit, that game is great.

Oh my god, can we stop referring to Cassandra as a 'she-man'?

Just because she isn't all ethereal and mysterious and fights with a sword doesn't make her any less female.

Anyone that was hoping to romance a certain character but can't because of orientation or whatevers... Dems the breaks. My Hawke only flirted with and was only interested in Aveline. C'este la vi.

On the "bright side" you can now role play as Will or Grace. ;-)

They never will, and that opinion is completely fine.

but you shouldn't knowingly restrict yourself like that. at least give it a go.
