Carrying over minor (or major to some) inconveniences like liking someone who doesn't swing your way into a video game defeats the purpose of a video game, it's supposed to be an escape, where depending on the narrative, nothing should actually ****** you off like it does in real life.

But seriously, if you want to romance Sera, play as a female. It's not a difficult concept to grasp. It's not your game, and BioWare have developed it and the characters how they want. Either suck it up and play as a female character, or romance someone else. Or nobody at all. Romance is a purely optional part of the game, and I think a lot of people forget that.

I get that the writers/creative minds wanted her to be gay. I respect their authority on the matter. I get that unless there are an infinite number of romanceable characters in the game, someone is going to be disappointed(although it sucks that that's me, again.. (DA2)). I get that. Nevertheless I want to make clear want the coffuffle is all about.

 

Not rape. That's one thing for sure It's about the lack of female, romancable companions. There is Cassandra(confirmed), and possibly Vivienne and Scribbles. None of which are particularly interesting in that way. Sera was the only really intriguing character from the female line-up. And now she turns out to be gay. So suddenly, a lot of straight men feel...  dissapointed. That's what this is about. It won't change, but that don't mean I can't vent.

Nope. Nothing wrong with having Companions sexuallty depending on the player. Hell it's called role playing.How about give is all choices. so we can decied for oursleves. It's my game, why shouldn't I have her as an option ? Even if she is a lesbian, even if she is hard to get, why not ? If i make her happy she might/might not want me. But how would I know if can't even try to get her. There is always the option to make her harder to get for male PC, and easier for females. So why not ?

Can we all just accept the fact that the a good majority of us -regardless of sexual orientation- will experience some degree of disappointment in the romance aspect of the game? And that does not mean the game will suck for us, we'll still move on and enjoy the game.
