So we know that we'll have horses and giant lizards for mounts. Anyone else hoping that we'll get a bigger variety of animals for mounts?
Like halla for the Dalish and bronto for the dwarves.
Or flying mounts like Wyverns and Griffons. I'd like to see a special quest (DLC maybe) where the Inquisitor discovers a lost Grey Warden Eyrie with the last living population of griffins.
And while we're at it, I wish for a chariot drawn by a team of mabari.

One thing I found interesting in the demo videos we've seen from E3 is that the horse looked a different size depending on whether the dwarf or qunari was riding it. Do mounts scale depending on the Inquisitor's race, I wonder?

Maybe they'll make available ponies and draft horses that are more suitable for the differently-sized races? Like a dwarf can ride a regular horse, but can't control it as well or stay in the saddle as securely as he would on a pony. Likewise, a regular horse ridden by a Kossith would suffer from speed and endurance penalties due to the added weight.

Griffons are 100% no. It has been stated many many times that Griffons are extinct and are staying extinct.
Those who preorder the Deluxe and Inquisitor editions get the Bog Unicorn (which is an undead horse with a sword through its head) and a Red Hart Elk (mis-promoted as a Red Hart Halla).

Well In the interview/demos they talk about having lizards mounts which make me wyverns and I don't think they can really fly maybe glide or is a really good jumper
Unlikely since flying puts another strain on the system.
This is the only mount I can see Iron Bull riding (with a smile on his face)

A Wyvern is going to be the perfect mount for my Kossith Inquisitor. Hope one can be tamed.
Considering that they said that there were lizard like mounts, I'm guessing you can get either a drake or wyvern.
I really like a Gryphon mount. Seriously. If it were a DLC, i will buy it.

Pretty sure there won't be griffon mounts in DAI.
I do hope we can discover a lost aerie of griffons either in DAI or future dragon age games.

I will say that Bog Unicorn does seem rather fitting for a Necromancer Mage character.
Hoping we can put a saddle on Sandal and ride that dunce into battle, and then romance him afterwards. It's so choice.
