I remember skimming through the threads of the old forum and one discussed the possibility of getting rid of the renegade scars through some mission (likely side mission) in ME2. I don't know how to go back to the old forums, so if anybody here can kindly clarify if such an option of eliminating renegade scars is available, that would be most appreciated.

Or you could just not be a renegade and not get the scars,but if you really want to be renegade and not have scars your going to have to pay some credits.

Oh I'm definitely NOT going to be some full-scale radical renegade. I'm Paragon, but I will most likely veer towards the Renegade option/interrupt now and then. If doing that doesn't scar my Shepard's face too much, then I should be fine.

I'm a female shepard, I'm VERY picky on her appearance. lol

I thought the scars would look OK, but then I saw the IGN review. It's so ridiculously over-the-top. Why did it have to glow red? Why don't you have little cyborg horns growing out of his head, too. Maybe he can get discounts on a baby eating machine.

Both get scars but with being a renegade they fester and get to the point of that wallpaper where Paragon's scar will heal and look healthy.
