Ah, it's good to know Madden is still selling well in the future.

Darn Canadians don't know anything about real football.
What with their 110 yard fields and three downs, it's an abomination I tell you!
Off topic for a second:
American football actually developed as an offshoot of Canadian football after McGill University challenged Harvard; the field was shrunk to American size due to space restraints on campus.
Apologies for the extreme nerdiness of the post but I love my Canadian football.

My favorite line in that whole rant was "Remember in RPG's you had to drink water and it took 5 hours real time to travel somewhere? I miss that."
Like nethack or the bus driving game on the penn and teller disc.
Or the 1001 ways to die in any King's Quest game because you clicked off the cliff or something.
That stuff was a little ridiculous, but it would be fun to see 3d games regain that meticulous edge again. Simulate actual survival again on top of the story. If it uses common sense and isn't buggy it would be intuitive enough where it's not hard to figure out. Just think if every npc in the game had to use the same rules. You could defeat your enemies by starving them out in their base or something. Survival is kind of a dead genre.

It's funny cause it's true...

Being from the UK, I kind of find thiscomment amusing. I could ask you to define 'real' football, but I highly doubt you would give the correct answer.
Just joking with you, as I said, find it amusing. Just like that video, especially liked the travel comment, instantly reminded me of the Mako

As for the video, hilarious. I'm really looking forward to seeing that. I love little grace notes/slaps to whiners in games and other media. It can go too far, but it shows that they were listening, and they aren't stupid enough to listen to the unpleasable types of fanbases (see Fallout and the NMO forums, for another RPG example.) Reminds me of the shipper slaps the Avatar: The Last Airbender dudes did in the commentary to the Season 3 Avatar DVDs.

No spoilers, just funny.
I fail to see how Bioware is making fun of anybody.
Except maybe the dude over the counter who looks at me with dispassionate eyes as he hands me my personal copy of Mass Effect 2, 1 of many that he has had to hand over willingly, copy after copy slipping carelessly away from his firm, yet heart-broken grasp, as each man, woman, and child grow ever closer towards him in an endless congo-line of eager faces with their each step slowly chipping away the soul.

I guess the Canadian news always go on about Second Life like the BBC does. I've never met anyone who plays it either.

It's a funny video but i'am still sad that they removed a vital part of every rpg i don't want to play a shooter with a dialogue system.
