Can't start a new topic

Meilleure réponse Sundance31us , 11 juin 2014 - 06:25

If your games were registered on BSN you'll need to attach those game to your account on this forum. Volus Warlord has instructions on how to do this in the link below:

Volus Warlord's Painfully User Friendly Guide For the Forum

Scroll down to "L.) How do I attach games to this account?" and follow the instructions.

I wish to start a topic in the Dragon Age 2 forums, but I can't do so. The button is whitened out, and it says "You cannot start a new topic". What do I have to do to be able to start a new topic? I tried reading the FAQS, but this wasn't covered there.

Hello, I just purchased Dragon Age Origins through Steam, and I am not having any luck with the instructions given above. Is there any way to attach the game if I didn't register with Origin?

On Steam, you will get a CD key issued to you because that's what happened to mine.  Get the CD key and use Origin to redeem product code.  Dragon Age will be added to your account and should update this forum to recognize that you indeed own the game.

I successfully redeemed the code, however I am still getting the "you can't start a new topic" message on the forum I wanted to post on. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help so far!

Just wait it out.  BioWare forums should auto-update eventually and you'll see the game on your games tab here when you check our profile.

You should also be able to log out and back in again. If that doesn't work you can delete your cookies or just wait for the three hour cache to expire. :)

Hi guys, sorry to be such a pain, but still no luck. This is the weird thing - I redeemed the promo code after I went to the link in the instructions which took me to the "BioWare Social Network", and somehow I ended up having to pick a new username, Cyrion22. My profile on this shows me as having the game, but my profile on these forums, Cyrion, does not show the game in my list of games. Did I screw up majorly somewhere?

Thanks for your help!

I think BioWare will have to step in to fix this.

Where would be the best place to go to ask for help from BioWare?

What forum are you trying to post in? Some require game ownership so if you haven't played them while signed into your Origin account we can't detect it. From what I can see you only have ME2 and ME3, are you trying to post in a Dragon Age forum?

I believe so.  The game being referenced after all is Dragon Age: Origins.  I think currently, the user now has 2 accounts, Cyrion and Cyrion22.

Yes guys, that's right. I was wanting to post in the Dragon Age Origins forum. How I ended up with two accounts I don't know!

Is the problem that I must be signed into the Origin account from my computer before I play the game? I bought ME2 and ME3 on hard disk, and registered them on Origin as prompted when I installed them. This is my first time buying a game from Steam and then having to register them with Origin.

In my case, I never really played my copy on Steam.  I redeemed it on Origin and played entirely there.  I'm personally not sure if I can post on the DA forum though.  Never bothered to.

You shouldn't need to register the game in the Origin client/store in order for it to be reflected here. You will just need to play the game while logged into the same Origin account you are using to post on the forums.

If you want to see which games we've found on your account you can visit your profile and click on the tab called "Games".
