Probably this would be too late, but if what we have seen in the demos of E3 regarding skill trees are not going to change much, I would suggest having the possibility of choosing our companion's specialization.

IF they do not have their own unique skill tree,

IF they use specializations (like Iron Bull being reaver as we saw),

IF we are able to choose only 1 specialization,

Then please make it so we can choose it. Maybe suggest the most "typical one" for that companion, or a default one, but let us change it for replayability and flexibility.

Dont let our companions be pigeon-holed. :)

It's still possible that they use their own personalized specs (like in DA2), and Iron Bull just had Reaver temporarily for the demo.

Hard to say at this point.

Well, it has been confirmed that there will be 21 skill trees (12 + 9 specializ), which means companions will have only 5 (2 weapons, 2 class, 1 specializ).

Which really reinforce my petition, since if the specialization is locked, that would mean that we will have less customization options for our companions. We would have to choose the weapon they will use, and then just select from that skill and 3 more.

If we could select the specialization tree, that would give us more versatility...

Hopefully this will be moddable, as it was in DAO and DA2.

That could work if they kept it class specific, mages like Dorian or Vivienne could choose ANY of the mage classes etc
