Now that the game available for pre-order, it would be nice from BW to announce the system requirements for the game. I would like to know how well my PC is able to run this game before committing my money to pre-order.

Are there any announcement in this regard? What is your prediction regarding recommended system requirements for DAI? Frostbite 3 is quite demanding so probably I expect a rather heavy game but I hope i'm wrong.

Any thoughts?

I assume if you can run BF4 and/or NFSR than you shouldn't have problems running DAI.

At the moment the only system requirements is Windows 7 or higher lol,it will be updated.

Currently it say windows 7 or higher and that's it. Not enough to base a purchase on.

If your machine can run BF4, it can probably run DAI since they run using the same engine.

System requirements probably aren't finalized yet for I doubt they have optimized the game which should be sometime in the next couple of months before they send the game off for certification with Sony and Microsoft.

I have recently built what I believe to be a very powerful computer (largely for DAI, partially for Skyrim), BUT... as I'm not a cutting edge gamer, I don't have battlefield or anything really system intensive to test it's performance.

In short, it's:

i7 4770

2gb GTX770

16gb system RAM

Now, I play Skyrim with fairly intensive graphic mods (ENBs, enhanced textures, etc), and I'm disappointed to say that it chugs a bit. It could just be a case of the mods not really being optimized, but who knows?

What do you guys think? Am I OK?

Thanks!

Requirement of that game will probably float around (recommand setting) Quad core CPU second generation . 8 Gig of ram and GPU probably around 570 GTX +

I to was looking for the specs for the PC version. Found out I need to have windows 7 but nothing else. Hopefully more information will be available soon.

added:

I'm guessing that since it's available on older and next gen platforms, that the PC version will useable on a wider range of systems. PC has always been accomadating when it comes to graphics, IMO.

Do not compare mods to vanilla games. You have monster PC which will make battlefield fly even on 1920x1080 ultra settings. Since DAI at best will have equal or less system requirements than BF4 you should be one happy panda.

I'll be curious to see what the system requirements are mostly because I'd imagine the game might be a bit more complicated underneath than something like BF4. Especially on the high end of settings, I wouldn't be surprised if its pretty demanding.

Okay, I hate to be so uneducated about specs, but my friend built my computer for me and I'm wondering if any of you fine people could give me an idea if I'll be okay or not. I usually play on my PS3, but I'm undecided if I'm going to buy a next-gen system or just use my PC. (I'm not even sure what information I need to give you guys!)

Processor: Intel ® Core ™ i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.40 GHz (It looks like I have 4 of these)

RAM: 8.00 GB

System Type: 64-bit Operating System Windows 7

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti

I generally play on my laptop which was kind of good for previous BW games but i suspect the Frostbite 3 jump will force me to revaluate the platform where i'm going to play the next gen of BW games.

currently I have an ASUS laptop with this components:

Intel i7-2670 QM CPU @2.20GHz

6,00 GB RAM

Windows 7 (64 bit)

Nvidia GT 555M (2GB dedicated memory)

My prediction is that is over the minimal system requirements but below the recommended ones.(Especially not having 3 GB of dedicated memory to my graphic card and not having 8,00 GB of RAM).

I generally never play on high setting but prefer medium. If I see that my system is not matching the recommended requirements probably will buy a PS4 and get the game there. Simply buying a new laptop for one game is prohibitive for my finances and considering that this laptop is working perfectly...and no I don't buy desktop since I found them unpractical. Guess will wait and see. Gaming on PC is getting more and more expensive.

Your laptop should be fine. The three gigabytes of VRAM is something that feels like someone picked the specs out of thin air without testing, for there are so few video cards that have that amount of RAM for only the latest video cards offer that.

Yeah kind of hope you might be right, I really do prefer playing on PC. The 3GB of VRAM was more of a guessing (saw BF4 requirements) since everybody seems to say "If you can run BF4 you can run DA:I too" which is assuming that the recommended specs are pretty much the same of BF4. Don't know if it is true the two games while sharing the same engine are very different in what they use the engine for, i kind of hope the game has a good optimizazion so that even decent PC might be able to play it at a medium quality.

Yeah I agree, the official system requirements are not officially released so here we are guessing with the very little info we have. Common "wisdom" suggests that if you can run BF4 you can play this game. However I doubt they will share the same recommended system requirements. They are different game, we are having a nice chat. Frostbite though it's a very demanding engine. Let's hope to hear from BW soon regarding this. I won't pre-order my game until the game specs are released. Hope soon.

I have a dual core Pentium, 4GB ram and a NVidia 8400GS 512MB (which I may have to upgrade). My system is only 32 bit though.

Maybe they have moved on to 64-bit. I heard programming for both 32-bit and 64-bit throttles the 64-bit and how much ram it can use.

I would love to hear if you think I'll be able to run DAI on my few-years-old laptop. It's a Dell XPS 1645,

Processor:  Intel Core i7 Q 720 @ 1.6 Ghz

RAM:   8.00 GB

Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730

System: 64-bit

I ran a system check for Battlefield 4, and it appears that the laptop failed.  It seems the video card was the problem.

I've never had less than minimum specs, so I'm not certain whether the game would simply not run (load, or whatever).  Or, if I could play it at very low settings.

If it would be impossible, or at least very unpleasant, to play DAI on this machine, I'd appreciate any advice on a new one.  Seems such a shame, as this works just fine for everything else I use it for.  Does anyone accepts trade-ins of older laptops?  Thanks!

It'll load but you'll be playing a slideshow even on the lowest settings. The folks at reddit.com/buildapc should be able to help you pick parts for a new system.

I have a MBP 2011 with a 1gb AMD 6750M.

I normally run games in bootcamp, but I haven't installed anything newer than Witcher 2 which runs ok on medium settings.  Not worried about the CPU/Ram but I'm concerned this graphics card won't be able to handle the newer generation of games.  Might have to finally build a PC but in that case I'll probably be waiting until 2015 to play.

You'll need a new computer, unfortunately.
