Yeah the game comes out in like 2 months, shouldn't they know what it will take to run by now?
Per Derek French, system specs should be out sometime this month.

One thing I am sure of is that you'll need DX11 to play it.

If on a budget wait till the 800s come out and the 700s from nvida should drop in price.

All the 3 current Frostbite 3 games supports directx 10 and directx 11.
Anyone know if this is any good? Literally upgraded for inquisition.
Windows 7 (64-bit)
GTX 760 2GB
16 GB RAM
i5 4670k
Thanks!
You'll be able to play it smoothly at ultra settings. If you must have AA, x2MSAA should be good.
Do you guys think one 780 ti will max this game with 60 fps at 1440p? I max bf4 with 60 fps average(though it does frustratingly dip at times), but I heard bf4 isn't actually a good indicator for this game.
Any thoughts?
Yes easily, what are the rest of your specs?

Yep, you're good. Solid rig you have there, my friend.
How important is the CPU in this case? I know normally the most relevant piece involved is the graphics card, but for example I was told SWTOR is CPU-heavy.

MMOs are often CPU heavy. I can play Battlefield 4 on ultra (or high if I want a constant 60+ fps in the campaign), but Wildstar is unplayable on the lowest settings. SWTOR does alright, but not great.
CPU isn't as big an issue if you have an AMD GPU with Mantle support. It can improve the performance of older CPus significantly. For instance, playing with Direct 3D or Mantle on my PC determines whether the game is just playable or very smooth.
It would be good know what the specs will be as early as possible since I think I will be needing to upgrade my system to run it optimally; I doubt my old HD7850 will be up to the task.
Medium at least, but most likely High settings.

Well, I want ultra, so I'm probably going to just stump up and get a GTX 780ti. I just hope my i5 3570 CPU is up to it.
Your CPU should be fine though tbh if your wanting to run high/ultra your best bet is to go with a R9 290/290x if you can get one for less then a 780/780Ti the extra 1GB of Vram will fare you better if you ever decide to go beyond 1080P just whatever you do dont get a 290/290X with one of those reference "turbine" coolers right now the coolest and quietest running 290/290X are the Powercolor PCS+OC R9 290/290X and the Saphire R9 290/290x Vapor X( 3 fan blue/black color scheme) the latter comes in 4GB and 8GB variants for the 290X model
I've got a quick question for all you techies out there.
I have 2X Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 w/ 2GB worth of dedicated memory so I'm guessing I'll be able to play the game fairly well. But my question is does the dedicated memory for my 660s "stack" giving me 4GB of dedicated memory?
I have recently built what I believe to be a very powerful computer (largely for DAI, partially for Skyrim), BUT... as I'm not a cutting edge gamer, I don't have battlefield or anything really system intensive to test it's performance.
In short, it's:
i7 4770
2gb GTX770
16gb system RAM
Now, I play Skyrim with fairly intensive graphic mods (ENBs, enhanced textures, etc), and I'm disappointed to say that it chugs a bit. It could just be a case of the mods not really being optimized, but who knows?
What do you guys think? Am I OK?
Thanks!
If you are having problems running Skyrim on that hardware it is probably largely do to conflicts with mods in your load order. I recommend looking into the importance of load order or at least auto detecting your system to see what video setting you should play at. If you really have A LOT of graphics mods it might bump it down to high quality instead of ultra high quality. Just to give you an idea of how many graphics mods you would need, I play with an active 150+ mods and have probably 5-10 graphics mods and my PC plays Skyrim smooth as silk with just one of my 660s on high quality.

For what do you need a 760W power supply? The only thing which needs a bit more power is the video card, but I can't imagine that a 780 GTX needs that much. I use a Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC and a be quit! 480W without any problems.

I wanted to be able to add another card to the rig for sli, so I decided on a bigger power supply. Now though I am not sure if i will add another card, if whatever Nvidia releases next is good enough i might just scrap my ti and go with a newer card.
I have GTX 660 and i5 2500k, so I hope I'll be able to play it on High in 1080p.
I hope they do a better work at optimalization than in DA2. This game literally choked my rig at highest settings for no apparent reason, as it looks horrible.
I was able to confortably play games like Tomb Raider (ultra without TressFX), Witcher 2 (Ultra without ubersampling) or Far Cry 3/Max Payne 3 on High/Ultra mix with decent framerate, but DA2 gave my GPU a really hard time, for no obvious reason whatsoever. I mean, that game would drop below 30 FPS.
I'll probably upgrade soon, but first I neeed to save some cash - and wait until NVidia Maxwell series is released.

No, it doesn't work that way unfortunately. You still have 2GB.
I'm about to replace my GTX 580, still waiting until for the Nvidia conference to see if they have something interesting to offer. Otherwise I'll go with a Radeon R9 290.
I'll gladly switch to AMD for the R9 290 when it beats the GTX 780 and also happens to be less expensive.

I'm sorry I couldn't help laughing when I say how much RAM you have. Its absurd overkill; I love it. I'll Iet someone more technically aware of the Frostbite III engine let you know how you could play the game, but I'm pretty sure you will be able to play the game with that set up with the possible exception of the dedicated VRAM.
Too many virtual machines, so I need this much of RAM.
LOL, thats even awesomer.
