Seriously considering Alienware. I move like every other month and just can't carry a tower and all the peripherals. Man, games aren't a good hobby for nomads.

I recommend shopping comparisons for pricing and quality; also look for consumer complaints. Alienware seemingly has a great rep overall, but has a price-tag that is higher than my budget allows; would love to win one of their rigs, but doubt if I ever will be able to purchase one.

Asus makes good hardware over all for most things from laptops to desktops for gaming. So yeah would recmend them also, alienware tends to over price things.

If you're going that route, might as well learn to build it yourself. It ain't hard.

I've seen some fairly good and cheap rigs on EBay. Some guys build and sell them as hobbies. I suppose there's some risk involved, but I haven't gone that route myself since I build my own.

Exactly right it ain't that hard as long as you are not going for a custom hardline watercooled rig its all plug and play and there are plenty of channels on Youtube like Linus Tec Tips or Tek Syndicate that have full video guides on how to put a PC together.

Its certainly a lot better then buying a off the shelf PC as you can tailor it exactly to your needs and it will cost less while teaching you new skills,I have been building and tinkering with computers for 25 yrs and I'm still learning new things and how to build faster and more efficiently.

Thanks for the replies gorgeous people. It's probably safest to wait for the game to come out and then look at people playing it in different laptops. Youtube "Dragon age inquisition g550jk" etc. Wait and see.

I just build my PC my own so far it runs BF4 on Ultra very good (however i do lower the settings when playing multiplayer seeing how i prefer accuracy/speed over graphics there)

that makes no sense at all  accuracy/speed would  make no differance if it on ultra or if it was on medium

Frame rate will affect latency, so it makes sense.

First of all yes i know we don't have the system requirements and yes this is just speculation. So do you guys think i will be able to max out DAI on 60fps with this build?

7990 - 8gbRam - FX-8350 - Win 8.1

Guys, I have a 780Ti, 1TB HDD, 8GB RAM and a CPU which I can't quite remember at the moment.  Will I be able to run Dragon Age Inquisition?

Yeah, he's joking. With that card, you'll be fine.

Assuming your CPU isn't ancient.

Hmm....It says AX 750 on the side of the CPU.  Is....is that good?

That's your PSU. You can check your system specs from your control panel, under "Systems and Maintenance", you'll definitely find your CPU there. Given your card and power supply, my guess is that it's more than adequate.

Spend enough money to have a 780 Ti, but doesn't know a PSU from a CPU. Smells fishy.

Almost all motherboards use something Chinese. China has some quality over there. Not everything is crap from China. Mostly when companies like EVGA put their brand on a motherboard or something else...it's still made in China. I will agree that American companies typically have much better return policies and customer support for us. I've personally used many ASUS products and heard about their terrible CS. Luckily, their products are built like tanks and I've never needed to send anything back to them.

And yeah, EVGA is awesome. Only company I use for my GPUs because their CS and returns are so silky smooth. Going to be building a new PC soon and I'm thinking about buying an EVGA PSU to go with the GPU. Those G2 Supernovas look sexy.

I typically find that smaller companies are better at CS because they must please every customer. They can't afford to lose loyalty while a company like ASUS losing loyalty isn't going to hurt them as much since they have such a massive market. They make everything from mobos to monitors or even routers.
