why haven't they anownced the system specs yet? The game has like one more month of polishing and one for actualy making all the physical DVD's and distributing them, what's going on?

People act like this is out of the ordinary. System requirements for games are usually published roughly 3-4 weeks prior to the release, so it's entirely possible we won't know until start of November.

You will be fine, what is the resolution of your screen?

I believe it's 1920x1200.

Yes, you will be fine. GPU is a bit on the weak side compared with the rest of your PC, but it'll be enough for high image quality with around 60 fps @1080p (1200p isn't much different, just a couple pixels more to fill, meaning slightly less fps) if DAI is anything like what we expect (i.e.: Bf4). And since gameplay pace is significantly slower than say in a fps like Bf4, you won't need or possibly even notice much difference between 40'ish or 60 fps, so you should be able to crank up the image quality to maximum and still be fine.

Out of interest though, is that a pre-built PC?

^Thank you. Now I feel a bit more relieved, although I suspected it was good enough anyways. And yes, it is a pre-built PC. It's a Dell XPS 8700.

Well, that makes it official: I've spent too much time with PCs if I can tell that from that little already.

Oh, you're welcome to share if you want to (even though it wouldn't be the point of the thread) as long as you don't go on and brag about it at every opportunity.

Unless you want to have Nvidia for a very specific reason, I'd recommend you take a look at the AMD R9 295x2. AMD is offering a promotion to retailers that translate into price cuts. Here in Germany, the EVGA GTX 780Ti Kingpin edition costs 799 € (Link to a best price search engine result for the Kingpin), the same as one R9 295x2 (Link to the R9 295x2 result).

Depending how the price situation is at your location, you can get similar performance (GTX 780Ti SLI isn't too much faster than the R9 295x2) for significantly less cost, or you can get significantly more performance (R9 295x2 in CrossfireX) for similar costs.

If you're building your own PC, why not try it out and see how it goes? If it's not to your satisfaction, you can always use the product warranty to return the hardware and go buy the Nvidia GPUs instead.

If it works out, you either saved buttloads of cash or got way more money's worth.

Well, your money, your decision.

In that case I'd still say that the Kingpin edition is suboptimal though. You can get a normal ACX 780 Ti and manually overclock it to match those speeds for a good chunk cheaper, or you can go the Hydro Copper version for a dozen'ish bucks more and really OC the hell out of it with the watercooling keeping it at reasonable temperatures. Most of the Kingpin edition features are for extreme overclocking that isn't possible with the factory aircooler anyway and the ACX cooling alone is sufficient to top out the OC performance without all the Kingpin fancies.

I didn't mean my BRING IT post to be made as a challenge to my fellow PC gamers. I meant it as a BRING IT to Bioware - for Inquisition.
