you can run BF4 on i3 4130 and evga gtx 750 ti 2gb 6gb ram i built this rig for my dad and it can play it at 1920x1080 60fps
even in MP So I dont have to worry with upgradeing maybe , wish they didnt have to wait till last month be fore :/

That PC is a bit aged, but it should still do.
If you don't mind the fps averaging at around 30, you should be able to run the game with high, perhaps even maximum settings depending on how hungry the game is.

way my eyes are i dont notice a big dif between 30 and 60 fps, ill be happy with 30 , just as long as i get to play my most wanted game of the yr. I played Watch Dogs on this, and yeah its getting up there in age like 4 yrs but it was a blessing to me, with me being disable a friend built it for me and sent it to me, so I am thankful for that still to this day 8)

I think he was geting right around 30-40 in MP had to lower the res form high to medium
I've current got a GTX 465 so any vid card I get is going to he a huge update.
Depending on reviews I'll probably get a Gtx980 and be done with it.
Already upgrade cpu/ram/mobo/psu earlier in the year. Just one more piece of the puzzle to go.
thats along way off the 800 cards are not even out yet lol
There will be no 800 series desktop GPUs. Nvidia is skipping them to avoid confusion with their mobile series and going straight to a 900 series. It's being anounced/released tomorrow.
So I'm thinking of getting a Digital Storm desktop for DA:I but I can only afford the cheapest one they make for $700 and even then that's stretching it a bit. Do you think the specs for it will be enough?

- NVIDIA GTX 750 1GB- Intel Core i3 4350 CPU- 8GB 1600MHz Memory- 500GB 7200RPM HDD- ASUS H81 Chipset Motherboard- 430W Corsair CX Power Supply- DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW- Microsoft Windows 8.1Or can anyone recommend anything cheaper but equal to or better then that? I looked on the Cyberpower site and saw they had cheaper gaming desktops but I know basically nothing about computer parts so I have no way of knowing if it's better.
for like 40 dollars more you could have a I5 4460 the i3 4350 is over priced

In all honesty when it comes to the GPU if your budget constrained go for a system with a R9 270X its outperforms the 750Ti in every test and benchmark done to date though I would always advise building your own over Pre-built you'll save money and learn handy skills at the same time
I know I need to upgrade, but for people like me who are probably going to build a new computer just having a vague "use BF4..." as an idea of what I need is down right ridiculous. I get it, they need to optimize it, polish it, position it so it is truly at the end of the rainbow. But come on. 2 months to release date (unless they push it back again), it is one of the most anticipated games of the year...
But I digress. I've gone to pcpartspicker, and so have had others suggest something but I figure I will come here and see what people suggest.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Processor: AMD x4 640 3.0gz
Ram: 8gb (2 4gb sticks, ddr3 i think)
GPU: AMD radeon 7700 1gb
PSU I am not sure,
1tb HD
So I know processor needs to be upgraded, and pcpartspicker gave me 2 options, an AMD fx 4300 or an amd fx 6300. the 4300 is quad and the 6300 is 6 core. Any ideas? Is one much better then the other?
For video card, the two options were Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card or EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Superclocked ACX Video Card. Does the 1gb extra make a big difference?
I should look at the delay as a chance to wait a month longer, but Civ Beyond Earth comes out next month and I would like to have the computer built by then.

Go with a i5 4690K CPU and a Asus Z97-A Motherboard as for GPU try the R9 280X or if your budget can stretch to it a R9 290.
For PSU I'd suggest something in the region of 800W-1000W from Corsair,EVGA or Superflower( The EVGA Supernova's are just Superflower rebrands essentially) the EVGA PSU's like my Supernova G2 1300W come with a 10yr warranty.
Also in any instance don't use the stock CPU cooler if budget is a issue go for something like the Hyper 212 Evo otherwise just get an AIO like a Corsair H80i/H100i/H105

1000W PSUs are overkill if only using one GPU. A good Seasonic 650W PSU is more than enough.

its better to go with a 1000W since the prices are not too much more then a 650W and it also means you can add in a second GPU later without having to upgrade the PSU,its always better to have spare capacity then barely enough IMHO.
Ok mates, need to know if need to upgrade some stuff. Will this crap run it on min spec?
AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon HD Graphics
7.4 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 8570D
Pixel Shader version 5.0 Vertex Shader version 5.0 Dedicated Video RAM 768 MBWindows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit

If the 1000W PSU you're talking about doesn't cost much more than a decent 650W PSU, then the 1000W one is CRAP!
And 650W is hardly "barely enough". A system with a high end CPU, high end GPU and the whole rest doesn't draw much more than 450-500W under full load (unless you go full energy inefficient AMD with FX 9590 and R9 290X, then it will draw around 550-600W).
Stop spreading this "need more wattage" nonsense. The ONLY reason to go for a high wattage PSU is if the builder intends to add more GPUs.
So guys, I’ll be getting a new rig on January 2015, but until then I’m curious if I’ll be able to run Inquisition on a playable level. My current build is:
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7750 1 GB GDDR5
6 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
What do you guys think?

My bad, my budget is not more then 600-650 Canadian, I have other bills that are far more important than anything, even a game like this that I have been following since what seems like forever.
My understanding was AMD is better for a budget, but Intel is just better if you have no money issues?
I am thinking of going to NCIX and getting them to put it together for the extra 50 bucks because I really have no clue what I am doing inside a computer.
I think i figured how to do the links now http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/3X2P8d and http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/Zg3P8d I may have to buy Windows again since I do not think I can transfer the OS over to a new computer ( came pre-installed, no disks). Any suggestions on these?
Sorry, one more question about overclocking: Is it worth it and what would be required if I decided to go that way?
*snip*
What resolution?
I would genereally say it will run the game, though not too pretty. Good for medium settigns @1080p I'd guess, though probably not going to be at a stable 60 fps.

I have a feeling i will be just fine with my rig.
Processor: Intel i5 4670k 3.4ghz
Motherboard: Asus Maximus hero vi
Video Card: GTX 760 2gb
Ram: 16GB
Thanks for replying.. the resolution will be 1360x768. As I said this PC is just a place holder until my new PC arrives in january. This one will have a much better build:
Spoiler
Your current rig will have no issues running the game on high with that resolution I suppose and your new PC will have no problem running the game maxed out as I think you're aware.

Yep, you'll be fine. Maximum settings for sure unless the optimization is going bonkers.
