Interesting. The price and their total power will be essential for me to consider when buying a GPU (several months from now).

So no one suggests R9 280/280x/290?

Amd cards am not sure about and i don't use them EVGA dos not make AMD cards so i can't offer any advice but Nvdia is  awasome so stick with them

am saveing up for  evga z99 mobo and i7 5930k my self and bottleneck is so over used if there is any bottlenecking it will be slight one at best

Well in my system the CPU and ram is gonna be slow compared to the gtx 970. I just hope DA:I is not too CPU and ram intensive, otherwise my GPU will just sit there and have nothing to do while waiting fot the rest of the system to catch up.

I don't think it will be my self there will be no tanks no jets no choppa so i do not foresee it being overly GPU demanding now let me lay this on you Fumiko i run  i3 4130 on evga z97 ftw mobo with 6gb corsair vengage ram  evga gtx 780 3gb card i was giving and i don't have any bottlenecks so i don't see the  gtx 970 giving you much issue it might only  drop 10 fps off

I would have suggested the R9 290, because they were significantly cheaper than the GTX 780 whilst being right up there in performance.  But with the introduction of Maxwell, there's no reason to look at them again unless they get a price drop. Because as it stands, the GTX 970 gives better performance, consumes less power and generates less heat all while being at the same price.

Honestly, the idea that you can't play this game on Vista has me a little bit pissed.

Well, maybe not angry, but... annoyed.

It's a 7 year old OS with huge security flaws that has been widely abandoned for 7 and 8.1. You'll get over your frustration when you upgrade to 7 and find it's a much better product.

A lot of computer shops are still stocking  windows 7 64 bit so not that hard to find if you don't want to go 8.

That's your problem the world has moved on from Vista to 7,from 7 to 8 and on to whatever they're calling 9 I hate 8 but at least I'm on 7 Ultimate 64Bit till 9 proves to have undone the stupid changes they made in 8 with that metro interface

Newegg has 7, although I'm hearing 9 may come out next spring and will be free or low cost for windows 8 users. Windows 8 sucks until you upgrade to 8.1 (at least I think so). Going 8.1 may save you money in the long run

Is 8.1 that wannabe mac interace bullshit?

I remember helping my parents do stuff on their laptop, and I couldn't even figure out where the hell the my computer menu was.

Is 9 supposed to be like 7? I'm still rocking 7.

8 was the garbage design made for touchscreen tablets. 8.1 is almost windows and not terrible, but not fantastic. Although I've only been rocking 8 for two weeks (had to upgrade from OEM 7 when I switch out my old MB). 9 should be a return to normal like 7 was to vista

Right. We may as well flip a coin, but I choose to be optimistic. Can't be any worse than vista though, right? Lol

True enough, even though 8 is/was bad it didnt have those gaping security holes.

I have been using computers since I got a Commodore Amiga 500 with WorkBench 3.1(Edit brand new in 1987) and used every MS OS from 95 to 8.1 even the dredded Windows Me(shudders) and never have I been so inclined to go into a murderous rage when my father asks me to do something on his laptop which has 8.1.It makes me so mad that I want to find the person who thought it was a bright idea to come up with that horrid metro interface and do unspeakable things to them that are very painful.

Classic Shell, first damn thing I downloaded when I set up my mom's new 8.1 lap top. At least that makes it more tolerable, but even then there's still plenty of app trash.

Oh, I'll never use Windows 8. They can keep that cell phone/tablet **** where it belongs, which is not on a desktop computer.

Sure, 7's better. Is it $99 better, though? I never saw anything in 7 that was worth paying for. What did I miss?

Am Techless, so this is not an expert insight, but it seems that Win 7 auto-defrags the drive as you use it. I do not recall having to do this manually. This, plus the familiar feel and user friendly ease make it a winner for me.

That sounds useful, but I don't think I'd pay more than a couple bucks for that feature.

If the 100 isn't worth it there's always the counsels version. I would rather not play a game optimized for vista or below, but that's me.

Windows 8.1 is a good one. At least it works with SSDs quite well.

I bet the minimum system requirement is:

- CPU: Core i3 (2.5 GHz)

- Memory: 4 GB

- GPU: Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT

- OS: Win XP - SP3
