Yawn, BF4 has the minimum requirement of 4Gb RAM to actually run, recommended 8Gb.
Direct X 9
, Frostbite runs on 11 in new games.
Minimim operating system was stated as win7 by one of the devs.
My i5 CPU runs BF4...
Personally I'm more interested in graphics card spec as mine is a couple of years old and meets the medium requirements of BF4.
From the official Dragon Age website, the requirements are:
*Minimum PC Specs
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bits
CPU: AMD quad-core CUP @2.5 GHz / Intel quad-core CPU @2.0 GHz
System RAM: 4 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 4870 / NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Graphics Card Memory: 512 MB
Hard Drive Space: 26 GB
DirectX 10
*Recommended PC Specs
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
CPU: AMD six-core CPU @ 3.2 GHz / Intel quad-core CPU @3.0 GHz
System RAM: 8 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7870 or R9 270 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Graphics Card Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive Space: 26 GB
DirectX 11
Hi, I was wondering since the minimal system processor speed is 2.5 and im at 1.9 would it still be possible to play Da3 due to the fact that my ram and everything is rather at or above the requirements.
The game will work with a GeForce 8600 GT?
The game will work with a GeForce 8600 GT?
According to the system specs no, but that's not always 100% a "will not run" case. The minimum specs for a program are the point where if you don't match them and you have trouble, support will be like "Sorry, your computer isn't good enough, we can't help you." If you meet the minimum and have trouble, they'll try to figure out your problems. As others have said, the developers said it's using the Frostbite engine, same as BF4 and since they don't have jets flying over at mach speeds, that's the most taxing thing the Frostbite engine can do. So, if you can run BF4, you should be good for DAI.
Heads up! Dragon Age Inquisition itself is available at System Requirements Lab (allows you to scan your PC and tells you if you meet system requirements, or what to upgrade if you don't)
So check now!! I just checked and I am good to go!

Hi. I dont know really if i can buy the game.I don't understand much about computers so i hope you could help me.
AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon™ Hd Graphics (4 CPus) 1.9 GHZ (the game needs at least 2.5 GHZ)
8 GB AM
AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 8600M Dual
If i understand correctly my pc its a quad core, then it should work. I'm not really sure about the CPU speed requirement (GHz).Games with higher requirements work fine for me but i'm not really sure about this one.I don't really care about ultra graphics. Whit this PC, it would have a "decent" performance?
Hi, I'm hoping you guys can tell me if I can realistically hope to run this game. My specs are:
Intel Core i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
Windows 7 Ultimate
Your really scraping the bottom of the barrel there in all honesty if you hope to run it smoothly you need to replace the CPU,RAM and Graphics Card with something alot more modern.
So, I understand that they made the required OS a minimum of Windows 7 64-bit. However, the game runs on the PS3/360, and Battlefield 4 worked great on Vista 64-bit installs. So here's my question:
My system is running a Vista 64-bit install. My hardware significantly exceeds the recommended specs for the game (double the RAM/VRAM, current video card, solid overclocked CPU, etc), so my concern is whether the game will run on Vista but is simply not officially supported. In other words, is there a system check in the game code in place that will stop it from installing and running if it sees that it's not on a supported OS? (i.e. "this product will not launch and run on an unsupported OS" or something like that) Anybody know of someone who has successfully run the game on Vista (or a 64-bit install of XP)?
I'm not upgrading my OS until Windows 10 is out; that's going to be my next Windows install. But I played and loved Dragon Age 1 & 2, and would love to play Inquisition.

I used the link and it turns out the laptop I bought five months ago isn't up to scratch. Absolutely shattered.
Well ram upgrade is not too expensive, but don't know how much upgrade of processor would set you back, those are only two things, my suggestion is there is a great thread in scuttlebutt non spoiler section called, can my computer run this. Post this in that thread and you are bound to get some great help, they're doing a great job of that over there

3.6 GB RAM? That's kind of an odd number. I'm wondering if maybe you're using a 32-bit OS. Don't sweat the CPU speed too much if you really do have a quad-core; people have been reporting success with machines a bit under the required specs.
What's your OS? What's your laptop model?
HP Pavilion Notebook 15. Not too sure what's going on with the 3.6. aa
OS is Microsoft 8.1
Hello! Sorry, if it's the wrong forum or topic, but I hope you can tell if my laptop has any chance to run DA:I on lowest setting, without any crashes, glitches et cetera.
Intel® Core i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27 GHz
ATI MOBILITY Radeon HD 5650
4 GB RAM
System Requirements Lab says that I don't stood any chance with running on my machine new Dragon Age game. Is that true? Or maybe there is some small hope? ![]()

If you buy it through Origin, you can get a refund if it doesn't work; so I tried it and so far am running it fine on Vista 64 with a system that meets minimum but not recommended requirements. So try it through Origin; you have nothing to lose.

Ah, really I never thought about that, but that is one major perk to Origin. Getting a refund for PC games is generally not possible, but with Origin it is. I assume it's easy for them because they can just revoke your license and remove it from your Library, something that can't be done with a physical disc.
I should have my little quad-core tomorrow, will see if the game plays for me. I'll let you know how it goes and what I am running... bare minimum... :/

Yeah quite simple dont buy a laptop for gaming Jeez! you don't need to be a tech head to know that build/buy a gaming PC there are plenty of video guides by Youtubers like Linus Tech Tips that list all the parts for a build and even show you how to install them.
