^Like he said.
Probably not going to work. The CPU is sufficient enough for medium settings I'd prognose and RAM is perfectly fine, but the GPU is lacking. But I suppose you play the game at 1280x800p resolution or something like this so it might, just might run on low settings, but don't get your hopes up.
Of course as long as we don't know the official system requirements all of our judgement is guesswork though ...
I honestly I have no idea--I haven't used a desktop in over 5+ years since I recently finished college.
$700 is way out of my price range. Even the $380 a refurbished G505s would cost me is stretching it.
If anyone has any suggestions for something under $300--laptop of desktop--that I could buy fully built I'd appreciate it! Everyone here seems to know a lot more about computers then I do. I literally do not care how low I have to set the graphics--I'm just looking for something that will play DA:I well enough that my character doesn't look like they're running through mud. Really DA:I is the most graphics heavy thing I can ever see myself playing.
With your situation I would look into buying a used desktop. Look up on ebay, kijiji, craiglist ect... You will get something like this: http://www.kijiji.ca...=200.00__400.00 (this is in Toronto Canada)
You see what you might end up getting for example:
$400

I mean you can always get a used Core 2 Duo machine for $200 and spend the extra cash on a video card. If you already have a decent monitor but if you don't you will have to budget it accordingly.
Or something like this for $200 and spend the rest on a good video card:

I would never buy a used PC or even used parts from anyone that I don't absolutely trust to not rip me off with defunct (or nearly enough to not matter) ware.
There's so many things that can go boom in a PC that wasn't properly handled that you won't find out about until the whole machine goes up in smoke. And private sells/buys do not come with guarantees in case the excrement impacts the rotary propeller.
There's nothing wrong with a used computer. I still have 10 yrs old computer still running. I have many computers in my home from 10 yrs to 5 yrs and nothing ever been wrong with it. The only thing to worry about is never use the used HDD that came with the computer but buy yourself a new HDD and install your OS on it. I would rather spend $380 on a used desktop than a new laptop. I'm pretty sure the used desktop will last even longer than the new laptop.
With $400 you can still get a new computer like an low end i3 with 4GB ram, case, motherboard and psu and use the onboard or i3 gpu for the time being until you save enough to buy a decent video card. A $550 or $600 computer will get you some medium and low settings for Dragon Age inquisition.
I often wonder if its bad that I have a raid 0 set up for my storage/game hardrive it comes to four tbs of storage. I just use my main drive for windows and other needed folders.
It's very risky to have a raid 0 and also it's a waste of a hdd. Also make sure to backup important stuff to another drive since when raid 0 is corrupted you loses everything. Raid 0 doesn't really benefict that much. Might only look good in benchmark but in real world usage not much benefict coming from it. You are better off with a 240GB SSD to install your OS on and some games and 1TB 7200rpm HDD for your storage and Games.

I use a four tb backup up extenal drive for anything on the raid 0. But will keep that in mind have one of those big consair towers and drives are cheap now a-days so if needed will be easy to change set up. Thanks for your advice.

This are the PC minimum system requirements for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (the most recent game made in FrostBite3), maybe this are similar to the DA:I system requirements.
^^Sure you can run DAI with that HD 5750 but probably on low settings(1920x1080) and medium(1680x1050).

Aye, those 10 year old PCs are yours though. You bought them, and you used them. You know their datadrives aren't infected with malware and you know your hardware is functional as you (hopefully) treated it correctly.
None of that is guaranteed if you buy a used PC.
Just to make my point clear, it is a common (!!!) tactic for shady people to sell purposefully compromised PCs for cheap to catch hapless people who don't know what to look for. So they are all happy they got a good PC for dirt cheap ... and all the while feeding data like credit card details and internet login data to some criminal who deliberately planted malware hidden away in the PC he sold them. That's a worst case scenario.
You can get the same result if the previous owner simply wasn't strong on internet security.
Or you buy a PC from someone who genuinely thought he did nothing wrong with the PC, but didn't know better and just sold you a PC whose hardware is close to going up in smoke because he really liked playing demanding games in summer with inadequate cooling, adding significant stress to components like the CPU, GPU and/or PSU. Sure, he didn't mean to sell you a soon-to-be broken product, but he did it anyway.
The thing is, there are soo many things that can go terribly wrong with second-hand PCs (or just PC parts) and if you buy them second hand, there is no manufacturer guarantee you can rely on, or little jurisdictional help you can expect if someone privately sold you a faulty PC (because second hand sells are private sells, even if they are brokered by well known websites, important to remember) as the only thing you can hope in a case of defunct stuff is the previous owner is going to refund you. And if he doesn't want to, there's no ToS and customer service you can rely on. The only thing you can do if the seller isn't doing what you want is to try and sue him.

I'm running "P vs. Z" on my Dell Venue 8 Pro with an Atom Z3740D Bay Trail CPU, (quad-core @ 1.33GHz, peaking at 1.86GHz) and the Intel HD Graphics (probably "~3000"). But don't think I'll be able to run DA:I on that! ![]()
Which is why I ordered a brand-new Digital Storm Slade. Want to enjoy this one... to the max!
I just bought a new graphics card like 5 minutes ago for DA:I. I was running on an ugly AMD HD Radeon 6670. Now I will be pimpin with a Asus GForce GTX-760. It's not the best on the market but it's a million times better than what I have now and it was in my price range. Can't even play ME3 at full resolution right now.T__T

The GTX 760 is a beast GPU. And my little hardware-hobby-enthusiast wants to know: reference, DC2, DC2 SSU or the RoG Striker?

Haha, this is the full title. ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit
So DC2
Got a free copy of Watch Dogs with it.

Personally I never buy used or pre-built the last time I had a pre-built computer was for my 5th birthday( A brand new Commodore Amiga 500) that was 1987 btw lol since the day I sold it in 1996 to a mate I have always built my own PC with new components. My Amiga 500 still works good as new today.

So will upgrading my graphics card solve my problem?
So will upgrading my graphics card solve my problem?
It would be better to invest in a Texas-Instrument Calculator. That would run Inquisition better than what you have currently.
But anyway, if you're on laptop, it may be cheeper in the long run to just invest in a desktop.
I'm thinking of buying a new PC,gaming ready:
For 859-876 USD
So will upgrading my graphics card solve my problem?
The problem is your using a laptop that was never intended for gaming when it was new never mind gaming now, the mobile processor is way too weak for playing DAI 4GB of RAM these days is too little for modern games you want at least 8GB to be safe 16GB is preferable with a minimum speed of 1866Mhz as for graphics you want at the very least a Nvidia 750Ti/AMD R9 270X if you want bearable image quality@30FPS+.
As others have said your best investing in a budget gaming PC if you must buy pre-built however I would always advise building your own that way you can tailor your system to your own requirements rather then having the compromises that come with pre-built. As for upgrading your GPU upgrading your laptop is about as pointless as buying a XB1/PS4
I'm thinking of buying a new PC,gaming ready:
- Black CoolerMaster Force 251 USB Front & Back
- Corsair 550W VS550 Active PFC 12CM
- Intel® CoreTM i5-4440 3.1GHz Haswell
- Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 Plus
- Asus B85M-G Chipset B85 SATA (6Gbps)i USB3.0 HDMI
- Western Digital 1TB Black SATA3 7200RPM 64MB
- Kingston 2X4GB DDR3 1600MHz
- LG/Samsung SATA DVD X24
- GAINWARD Nvidia GeForce GTX750 1GB GDDR5 HDMI
- 3-5 Years Warranty (CPU,MB,PSU,RAM,GPU,HD)
For 859-876 USD
Granted I live in England where we use Pounds Sterling rather then the dollar but from what I have seen on Linus Tech tips Youtube channel and others that sounds about $200 more then what you could build a system to that spec for, also that particular i5 is not overclockable you'd need the 4670K to do that
