Greetings.
I'm writing this in hopes of getting as much attention as possible, because I think this is an oversight that can be easily corrected, though how much involvement EA/BioWare have in the decision making process may limit how much action can be done.
Consider: Since the launch of Xbox One, I have purchased all my games for it digitally through the Xbox Live marketplace. I find the option extremely convenient, as opposed to travelling a distance to a brick-and-mortar retailer for a midnight launch party for a disc based copy, a copy which will only take up space in my home once I return.
It has come to my attention that customers who pre-order Dragon Age: Inquisition will be treated to exclusive bonus content. Encouraged by this, it makes me want to pre-order the game all the more. However, the option that I wish to choose for pre-ordering is not available to me -- the option of a digital copy downloaded from the Xbox Live marketplace. Because this option is not available to me, I fear that I may lose out on the opportunity for the aforementioned bonus content.
Make no mistake, I am excited for Dragon Age: Inquisition. I want to pre-order it to show my support and to get access to the exclusive bonus content, but my perception is that I am denied the opportunity to do so because how I choose to purchase my games is considered by the industry to still be unorthodox, despite its extreme convenience.
This could be solved by something as simple as pre-ordering through the online store, receiving an invoice to prove the purchase took place, then being sent codes via email to download my copy of the game on launch date, as well as additional codes for the bonus content.
Any attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
For your additional consideration, I have also submitted my concern to help.ea.com under ticket number 13747701.
Thank you for your time.
