I agree that it would make the game more customizable to have a G/L possible romance, but you gotta think to yourself, what are the odds that any random 10 people you pick up in the Universe are gay or lesbian? Let alone the fact that in order to have a relationship with you they would need to in someway be attracted to your Shepard.

There already was a Lesbian relationship in ME1 and for all we know there could be a gay option in ME2, maybe thats why they added Zaeed to the DLC.

Same here.  My paragon femshep will stick with Liara or I might roll a renegade femshepard without romancing anyone, bad*** woman needs no love:devil:!!!

Wikipedia says between 2% and 13% of modern, Western humans are homosexual.  So the chance no one is gay among 10 people chosen out of a hat containing everyone (generalizing modern + Western human to the whole galaxy isn't a very good idea, but this is for the sake of argument) is between about 25% and 82%.

Part of the fun of fiction is that it isn't a perfect mirror of reality, though, and isn't beholden to every plausibility that we are in the real world.

Well, if it in fact turns out that there are no same-sex relationships, I will wait until approximately May 20th, 2010... and then I will begin my crusade for FemShep+Tali for Mass Effect 3.

Well yes we can see that they have physical contact with each other but i find it hard to belive that a alien race that has no need for sexual organs to mate would have them. But if Bioware have said somewhere they do thats fine as it's there game.

Dayseeker you are right sorry i have gotten side tracked from my first post hear and this isn.t the thread to be talking about why there isn't a same sex romance.

The Asari have female sexual organs because they carry the child. Babies need somewhere to grow, something to pop out of, and something to feed from. A woman's body satisfies all 3 of these critereon, and it goes for Asari as well.

I wished for a continuation of my romance with Liara in ME2. And I hope Kirika69's question will not become truth. If I can't have my ME1 partner, at least give us another same sex character to bond with for ME3. Or a brothel .

At this point it seems like FemSheps are pigeonholed into the ONE asari romance just to cling to any legitimacy of a F/F romance. Grow a spine and actually add in a human female for crying out loud.

I support FREEDOM of CHOICE for all gamers regardless of thier orientation. If you include the titilation of romances in the game then it had better cater to all audiences provided of course that the romantic partner is a choice.If it is an option the uncomfortable choices can be avoided so as not to offend the sensibilities of the thin skinned and insecure individuals who plague society.

Alright, this has been going on for a couple of days now, in multiple threads, and yes, I support non-gender-based love interests in ME and all sequels and all other BioWare games. I love it. but srsly, it's getting really really old.

Mine too, except those who will romance Jacob (or Kelly, if the unthinkable happens and she's an option).

I personally DO NOT want to see even an option in the conversation wheel to say "flirty" things with another dude, why would I, I like women and im not down with certain things going in a guys butt. I would rather there be no LI's in the game at all then add in a gay option..



I won't lie, I do have certain things I don't like about gay's, the fact they go around YELLING gay pride really pisses me off. You know, if it wasn't for Straight people you gay people wouldn't be here.. SO YA, BE MORE APPRECIATIVE!!!
