Come on poeple use your head there was no lesbian romance in ME 1 so why should they put it in ME 2.Just because you romanced Liara with a femshep doesn't make you and her lesbians for one Liaras race isn't a bunch of lesbian aliens. They have no males which means that before they meet other aliens they mated with each other which doesn't make them lesbian.Just because humans find the need to label females that way when they do doesn't mean other aliens do.The fact that Liaras mother mated with a Asari doesn't make her a lesbian just because humans say she is.Coming from a single sex race Asari like Liara are not lesbian if romanced by a femshep or straight if they are romanced by a maleshep. I was the one that was asked my opinion on the matter and then people continued to argue with me until they realized they had ran out of arguments. Like I said earlier. I don't hate gays, nor do I have a conclusive stance on homosexuality yet. At the very least, I have put more thought into the issue than most have.

I have no reason to debate the issue if no one wants to though. So don't worry, I'll end it.

I do support including gay and/or lesbian romance options in either future DLC for ME2 or in ME3. I'm sure prolonged and assertive fan campaign can and will make Bioware listen and include such options in game, as they already did for Tali and Garrus.

It's close enough that it was obviously the intent, the same as how the drell were created specificly as a malien option. Beyond that, we have seen bi characters in most other bioware games and the obvious and purposeful omission in a game that is almost entirely about developing relationships with the characters is a worrying step backwards.

It doesn't matter who she was, she's in the game the same way that Barla Von or the Nassana Dantius were in the last one.

You've got my support. If you can romance the aliens (Garrus?!), there's no reason to not have same-sex romance with at least the human allies.

As has been pointed out, Liara -is- still in the game at the least. As I understand it, LIs from ME1 play a somewhat lesser role in ME2, while a somewhat greater role in ME3, is that correct? While I didn't much care for her in ME1, the follow up material featuring her did a good job of giving her some much needed depth, maturity, and personality I think.

Judging by what I've seen of the comics this is true, however, she is not a squad member, which means that no matter how much the devs whine that she's still important, means that she'll be lucky to get 5% of the amount of dialogue. The only light in the darkness now is that she is the only squadmate guaranteed to be in ME3 so she should come back like Tali/Garrus did.

Give me a break, you're lucky there is even that bit in there. Most game companies would have completely axed anything gay-related.

I don't actually mean that, just pointing out how rediculous it is to cherry pick what you want from the bible and not pay any attention to the things that are inconvienient for you to follow.

Christianism is nothing but a manipulation tool, and it has born even being it. Everything that involves "Follow a God that talks whitin me, His Prophet, or you're going to an horrible place for all eternity" is nor precisely my idea of "inherently good".

What's annoying is that Thane's whole species was made specifically to be a Female romance option and they openly admit it, but the Asari were obviously made to be a safe "discount lesbian" option, but they completely deny it. And in BIOWARE game that is ENTIRELY about developing relationships with these companion characters, no new F/F AT LEAST, is disappointing.

DA:O has both a gay and a lesbian romance option, and ME1 had a lesbian romance option so Bioware certainly arent afraid to do it. Ofc some parents went nuts over it, though the game is rated M/18. f they bought the game for their kids, shouldnt they be a lot more concerned of the blood and gore and dismemberment? As a father of 2 I can safely say I'm more worried of the impact of graphical violence on young kids than the image of 2 men kissing.



I think that kind of inclusion in video games is a good thing. If done right ofc, it should be made in context, so it doesnt feel forced. Supported.

Exactly. Every real Christian I've met doesn't hate anyone, much less gays. They don't agree with the actions, but that doesn't mean they're crazy psychopaths that want to burn them at the stake like many gay rights activists have tried to paint them.

No reason to attack someone specifically for believing that religion is good. Yes, it is used to manipulate and do TREMENDOUS evil, but it also has done quite a bit of good. In the end religion is whatever your actions make it.
