Actually chances are he's exactly like Shale in that he was intended to be in the original game, but couldn't be implemented completely before content lock. Besides, he's free for everyone who purchases a new copy of the game. ;-PVelcroT wrote...
Bioware has probably been working on him for a while. They just didn't include him in the actual game so they could get money from the poor saps (me included) who will buy him without a second thought.

I think most of us have already seen those Screencaps, they don't really answer anything about his level of integration

I want a badass out of retirement Han Solo/Harry Callahan mix.
- I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire twenty shots or only nineteen?"
Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost
track myself. But being as this is a M3 Predator Heavy Pistol, the most powerful
handgun in the universe, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to
ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

i hope so he sounds awesome like a cross between Sten and Canderous
in other words a badass
I don't want Zaeed to be an emotionless boring drone with no personality of any sorts.

I have the same concern, and its why I never used Shale in DAO. I just didn't think a DLC character would have the same amount of inter-party dialog and story integration as the core party members.Gambit One wrote...
I'm going to download him before I start my first playthrough, but I'm worried about using him because I feel that since he is DLC, he will be detatched from the story, essentially being a mindless body. Where other characters will have more of a connection to what you're doing, and could change what goes on.
What do you guys think?

I think Zaeed will have as much content as all squadmates, i suspect he was made as DLC because i remeber bioware saying they almost didnt get the game on 2 disks, so maybe they just cut out items and made them DLC such as the new Mako as well
Separate teams work on launch day DLC, and such DLC is usually finished after the game itself. Anybody who thinks as you do does not understand how the industry works at all.
