Much scan, so Geth, 20 meters, so wallhack.

But yeah, those builds are pretty tried and true.

Drell Adept. No pull, weapon passives. Reave -> Cluster for multiple enemies together. Reave -> Dakka dakka for any single target. Full fitness for movement speed. My preferred weapon of choice is the Crusader, but people are always touting your typical stuff like Harrier and Claymore. You don't care about weapon weight as much because one of your powers doesn't use the cooldowns (grenades).

N7 Fury if you're comfortable in close-quarter combat. Annihiliation Field makes everything in your radius glow a fancy blue color. Chuck a throw at it for boom boom buttsecks. Dark Channel at range. 6/6/6/x/x. Passives and Fitness are largely optional. Make sure you take the shield drain option of Field.

Those are two of the best, right there. Batarian Adept is kind of similar to the Drell, although I would spec into Lash, but it has to go to rank 6 (bypasses shields and barriers). split passives and fitness however - both are good. Slower, tankier, better versus single targets, worse vs. multiple targets.

Krogan Adept is fun, but deciding on a build for him can actually be tricky. There's actually lots going for this character, such as being Krogan.

Oh, I F'd up the Drell one and put Geth Scanner on it by mistake. Wouldn't have caught it otherwise. Ty

I hope you know I can't do well in this game without GS or grenade capacity...

The next build for the Krogan I will try will be very similar to this one. However, I will be forgoing the rank 4 DR on barrier in exchange for Barrier Detonation damage. I think that aspect lends itself strongly towards the melee aspect of this character.

Question: Cyclonic or Adrenaline on this guy?

Adrenaline.

Already have some good amount of shields.

Oh yeah that's perfectly fine I only take barrier strength because I ALWAYS forget I can detonate the barrier. I might actually change it to that as well. I always use Cyclonics for melee builds and team games. I might try a solo with him sometime with a non-melee setup and I always prefer adrenaline on dodgeless characters when soloing (unless it's geth on gold).

From my most favorite to the least favorite adept:

(weapons listed in brackets are some alternatives I enjoy)

Drell Adept + Venom (wraith, talon, paladin, valiant)

Phoenix Adept + Venom (hornet, wraith, talon, csmg, eagle)

Collector Adept + CSMG (CAR, CSR)

Asari Justicar + Acolyte (venom, falcon)

Human Adept + Eagle (CSMG, scorpion)

Asari Adept + Paladin (Arc pistol, carnifex, suppressor, kishock)

Krogan Shaman + Revenant (piranha, venom)

Batarian Slasher + Raider (claymore, wraith, venom)

N7 Fury + Venom (Raider)

Volus Adept + Arc Pistol (paladin, crusader)

If you are on console, spec into radius evo of shockwave unlike the links for human and krogan adept above. Several guns work but I've listed some really solid weapons and ones I find particularly enjoyable.

Krodept with Revenant, aka the biotic tank.

http://www.code-rage...ngholdPackage5/

I use AP ammos. It doesn't have much melee damage, I use it mostly to stagger things between biotic cooldowns and revenant reload (heavy melee is very useful to stop Pyros sync-kills !), and as a finishing move because Rage mode.

He has so many ways to kill things, doing a pure melee build is gimping him... use the Krosent to do that. Barrier is very useful to deal with husks/aboms/swarmers/etc and also phantoms.

The Revenant is accurate enough against spawns, bosses and at very close range... so it works well with a Krogan. Either hipfire it or use hard cover, stability is only a problem if you zoom without hard cover. No need to use stability mods or consummables. It's really enjoyable to fire a gun non-stop without really worrying about aiming.

Enjoy your 1 sec shield regen, 2050 shields and 25% damage reduction (55% if in rage mode). No need to waste cyclonics on him.

Agreed, but at the same time, Barrage Upgrade does make a difference to the Revenant.

On other kits, I would agree. But a Krodept with barrier 5a, fitness 5b, shield power cells III and the stronghold gear can regenerate his shields every damn second on gold. It's better to reinforce the krodept strength (extreme tankiness for a biotic... without cyclonics) than trying to reduce a minor problem, imho.

And stability is not really a problem on the Revenant, as long you don't try to zoom without hard cover. Hipfire the damn thing, Rambo style. You're Krogan.

I think this is better.  2.46 seconds recharge speed is good enough.

Don't take Radius on Shockwave.  Otherwise you can't screw most of them up too badly.

I heartily endorse these builds, they are pretty much the exact same things that I use.  Especially the Asari Adept - 6/6/6/5/3 with the Arc Pistol is just plain mass murder on Collectors and Reapers.  It's just garden variety murder on Geth and Cerberus.  The only difference is the Justicar - This is the build I use.  You don't have to use the Hurricane, any number of other guns will work.  Just using the Acolyte doesn't really take down bosses quickly enough for my taste though.

A few of my builds, weapons vary depending on what I feel like using though:

Drell Adept - Prefer 3 points in Pull to  a little extra weapon damage

Asari Justicar - weapons vary from PPR, Saber, Adas, Graal and Paladin

N7 Fury

Krogan Shaman - haven't really found a weapon I like using on him yet

Awakened Collector - will occasionally use PPR instead

Your Asari build is almost identical to mine except I spend all my points. :P

I play a lot of adepts but have had the most fun recently with ones I haven't played as much in the past the beefier ones like the Batarian and the Krogan.

That's what I use for the HA - note the HVB is glitched and you end up with +180% CD instead of the listed +130% CD (duh)

Great build for Gold and for Platinum .. just keep in mind you are a glass cannon. So many powerful BE's with this set up.

Like NT said above, I find the key to keep you CDs as low as possible.

I am quite surprised at the # of posters who go 5 ranks of passive with power damage .. who cares, the HA's primary damage is in the BE's
