I've been told it was a good idea to share mods on this forum, so here are some character swaps I've made for ME2. The links contain the mods, plus readme files explaining how to install it and other informations you may want to know. For now, all I'll tell you is that it's really easy to use.

These mods were also shared on my DeviantART account : http://reiko-himezon....deviantart.com. You'll have to visit it to get the mods, sorry. It's to avoid problems. Too many modders stops modding.

Of course, you're not allowed to redistribute or claim as your own the mods, readme files or arts. Please, don't steal. If you have any problem with it, don't hesitate to contact me for help, I'll be there.

I'd like to know how to replace squadmate skins with another character in ME2 and in ME3.

It already took me forever to figure out how to replace Shepard by other characters, I don't know how to replace squad mates, sorry. But I think GirlPlaysGames had done some replacements like that if I remember properly. It was in her « experimental mods ». I don't know if you know her, but you can check her blog, she has made tutorials and if you don't find what you're looking for, you can also ask her directly. i just want to say thank you for your hard work on this. I actually started up a new game of ME2 just to play as Samara and I am loving it! thank you so much for this!

 

I know I took my Play as different characters mods down, but if you ever wanted those to use for ME3 just send me a message and I will upload them for you. 

 

Do you plan on making any other characters playable? like Aria or any other females? If you made Aria I would absolutely die and shower you with clothing mods lol.

 

Anyway like I said, if you didnt get a chance to get the play as other character mods i made for me3, just note me and i will upload them for you Really amazing job! i wish i could figure out modding for me2.  Owell, to each their own!

I actually started to work on Aria, or may I say, tried to work on her. I'm planing on doing other characters, but I never tried for non squad mates, so it can take some time before I manage to do it ! But you're really sweet and I know some good friends who love Aria too, so I'll try my best. ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ

Then you deleted it and I was releaved when I saw them again on this site, but once again, I waited too long before taking them ! xD I just finished my ME2 game however, so I'd really appreciate having them. I'll send you a note on DA, you're really kind. (´ω｀★)

 

I was intenting to do the alien characters first and actually, I wasn't really sure I'd do the human ones after. But if there's a character I didn't already make you'd like me doing first, you can tell me. Nobody is requesting me, so you can if you have an idea. (✿◠‿◠)

i havent found her buggy at all really, i think that the way her eyes glow on the ship is awesome, like she is in constant meditation so i like that. 

 

ya, sorry about all the fuss with my mods. they have been a hassel for me as well, and i am sure others like you who have waited to download and missed out..  i am going to message you on da and tell you which ones i have.

 

Aria, would be my first love choice, but because she isnt a squadmate, i understand that it might be harder, so miranda would be really cool to play.  I like her hair lol. tty in a min.

I said it's the usual reason, didn't you notice all the modders who stopped releasing ? It's to avoid stealing. It's either that or stopping sharing in few months. It's my way of working.

Sorry for the late reply. I did look at it and it seems like more work than it really does in reality. Although she does mention that I would have to replace any mesh that contains the character I want to replace and mesh over, I only want to do that on a couple of scenes. If I were to mesh Kaidan for example when he's looking out into the stars after being recruited in ME3, will he return to his actual mesh after the particular scene is done?

I'm sorry, but I've been modding ME2 only and I don't know how it works for ME3 at all. Different scenes mesh, squad mates, DLC characters, I've never worked on that kind of things. I do remember asking her a question in a comment though and she answered in no time, did you try to get in touch with her ? I'm sure she'll be a lot more helpful than me.

To be able to play as Kaidan or Ashley would be great in me2 and 3. This means that the ME3 party could be complete with the whole me1 cast.

it's a standard model swap, isn't it? I did see someone else do it ages ago, they'd made gifs of "Kaidan" dancing in Afterlife. but they never provided any mods.

Alright, it took some time, sorry about that, but I managed to make a mod to play as Kaidan Alenko ! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕) Except he won't be wearing his armor, you can either play him in the Cerberus casual outfit or any armors you have. I should update my first post soon, because I have made other mods to play as squad mates. Untill then, if you want the files, sand me a note on my DeviantART account.
