Ok I hope a mod or dev replies to this. I'm always getting stealing sucess but no money or items are showing up in my inventory on ocassion I'll see the screen say Items recieved or a monetary ammount gained but like 90% of the time I get nothing. Can somone explain if this is a glitch or what. And Don;t say that it means you gained an item you already have in your inventory because ive sold every item and  checked the money i have then try it and gain nothing when it says stealing sucess. So can someone elaborate please.

I always thought it meant you didn't get caught. And they didn't have anything so you wasted your time.

Well from my understanding and having played about 4 play throughs even if you fail you don;t get caught and nothing leads me to belive theres a penalty for getting caught even if you did and also if they have nothing it just says Nothing to steal.

No if you fail they just grumble at you. That is the only penalty. The nothing to steal only shows up on the same victim on the second time you try to steal from them. And I am right up there with you on playthroughs. I never got a "nothing to steal" from a new mark.

Yeah the "Stealing Success" and getting nothing is a bit annoying. I have gotten "Nothing to Steal" from a new mark before as well.

Well either way I only wish a dev or mod would shed some light on this subject because there are several people who are probably wondering teh same thing.
