First off we are given a little bit about what happens when taking over a town.

So how about putting that part in the game for online as well.

Also able to make your entire 12 compaions that way you aren't alone in the game online. And it not just your charchter.  Online you can fight many dragons and fight lots of them.

Online you should be able to build your own town. Or base. or whatever you want to call it. And it makes you a profit to help with the defense. And you can calacuated troops in your base. Or whatever you want. Basically you build your own town and have it help you make a profit. Join other players in battle.

But here the twist to that. You take your own squad into battle. Meaning Lets say A friend has two warriors, one rouge, and one mage.  You might have 1 warrior, two rouges, or 1 mage. Or you might have just a team of warriors.

When players are knock out. There other team squads can revive them. With items. Or with magic. I think revive magic is going to be in this game.

Loot share could be like this: Everyone gets a copy of the loot. For there sqaud. That means everything you pick up. Each player gets that in there invertory. It fair. And it makes people happy.

Also a side note. In your town or base or whatever it is. You have to have one rouge and one mage and one warrior compaion charchter. It so the game can balance  it out.

Online allows you to fully have control of all your online compions. Meaning you chose what that person looks like. What race they are. And what skills they have.

for some reason this reminds of me Two Worlds 2 which generally would work for a online section just not with so many companions altogether but so far bioware doesnt seem keen or knowledgable to how a DA online segment in DA:I can work only way we might see is a Dragons Dogma style thing.

Or just like all the other dragon age games theme. But you make your own party members. That way if your party fails it your own fault and someone else isn't getting blame for it like in mass effect 3 online mode.

Very true at that but people find a way to complain if ive learnt anything as a online gamer, though the concept you put there was nicely solid and if i was on the team i wouldve looked it over.

Most people like to complain about how it was your fault there party failed. But having there own party would make them see the error of there way.

Regardless if other players have their own team, I'm guessing your two teams are themselves a team?  If so, its still you and this other person/people, and you are all responsible for each other and each others' parties.

I can't possibly imagine what this game mode you are proposing would be like, but in the spirit of collaboration, I'd say keep each team(squad) to at most two characters.  If not for complexity's sake, then for weaker computers/consoles and weaker networks.

I dont know i will throw a wild guess out there an say The Keeps complies with having a online component.

always thought of online mode in single player games as a safeguard against 2nd hand games.

as inquisition will likely heavily feature the pause option, abilities with point-blank aoes will need to be very generous for non-pausing multiplayer to work.

well mass effect heavily did that as well and they have a MP mode that worked greatly theres alot of games that do that that have access to a online they just remove the actual ingame world pausing so your just standing there in your menu while everyone else is running around still, when i looked at whats been shown with Inquisition it could truly work to have a co-op online or even a MP feature just it might not be exactly like the ME3 online features.

Well small sqaud I was wanting so the guy who can heal isn't being blame because of his low gear. And everyone can party together. Because mass effect it was a mess. People blaming others. And fighting. Some one insulting me because of my build. This way the person who fails there own mission fails because of there mistake in there squad.

Or a max of 7 player squads. I want massive open world areas.

Also the castle or home or keep. Or whatever you want it to be is not shown on the map and only you can see your base.

Is friendly fire an option?

As long as you can play the single player game without it being affected by not playing the multiplayer at all, I don't really care how it works as long as the two modes are completely separate.

i would say a remote village in areas off the map of the single player such as in eastern fereldan, antiva, nevarra or even the tevinter, personally tevinter-qunari islands would be a good area gives unique areas for missions and quests and such similar to if you worked it like Two Worlds 2s online, the more i see these online wants the more it makes me want it too like a plague of it lol.

Of course single player is sperated from Online play. Online has nothing to do with single player mode. So your story isn't effect by it.  Online you build your base/town/fort.  Add in castle.  The main castle is your place. Mini shops and other things. You can bring your friend in it.

You control your own party. So when you fight hordes of darkspawn. Or whatever enemies in this game will be.  You are going agaist alot. My idea of online combat is this. Mini amount of enemies is 100 total. Loot drop is this. everyone gets a copy of the loot. That way it fair.

yea that can work too though you need groups of people in two worlds 2 but it is possible to solo just dreadfully so at the level areas i would say to involve more co-op is to have it just the player but if you solo you get a companion from your fort or two of them and design it somewhat like you would do in dragons dogma so that way you can send them to your friends when your offline and such.

Well Online I was hoping for compaions that you make. That way story ones are left as story ones. I think 12 is the max you would be able to make.

i would say maybe half that out as you will end up with more companions then single player + DLC judging on the series history but maybe say 8-10 is a better option and leave the 12 part as your playable character.

but as i write that i saw that you can use the dragons dogma with that new world of warcraft feature they said with warlords of draenor basically create your characters as per the norm but remove there proper origins and then if you do not play them they will inturn appear in your keep, caste, villa or village and act as NPCs but i would remove there armor giving them the actual stats and change it to having proper visuals excluding the DLC or over dramatic armors or even them being naked and put dummy parts on them such as merc leather or something basically it forces the player to create 2-3 characters when they join so you dont get over swarmed by mobs if you decided to go out and travel by yourself without your friends or companions with you, and to further inforce the companions working i would say to everyone look up Dungeon Seige 2 i just found it in my collection this morning and memory jogged that if only 2 people appear in a online server you are both allowed to bring one companion/pet with you if you so choose.

I blame this thread for making my ideas burst! lol good thing btw, if given the chance i would write into how the out layings of the online could work in some ways but my memories limited due to ive played ALOT of games in my life.

In my opinion, the best means of a multiplayer function would be to impliment something into the game that is entirely OPTIONAL.

Not participating in the Multiplayer should not hinder the rest of the game.

However, there should be some form of monetary gain for the people that participate. Similar to how you got galatctic reputation or whatever in ME3 (sorry, been a while since  I played). In Dragon Age: Inquisition maybe for participating you could get credits/money towards something cosmetic for your castle or hell, even just bonus money to spend on your campaign.

I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to play the game just fine with out it (meaning your should be able to get every outcome possible with out needing to play multiplayer) but for those of us who do play and would like to play the multiplayer, it'd be nice for it to somehow positively affect our single player game, even if it's simply getting fancier flags or something.

i would happen to agree with you thats why ive suggested two worlds 2 often in the MP forums its online was popular and trust me people still play it today and its entirely seperate from the game, and i would say make the better looking or usable stuff to take progress cant have people being grinded to a area 50 times there level cause there friend dragged them there though maybe add the option to buy lands and have a bit of a number of them available especially if the option to link to a friends game is another option meaning that both games online are linked thus will always appear in the others even when offline option doesnt apply to random joiners. only place i would suggest appearing from the main campaign and in vice versa is a area within Orlais as a hub for people such as Guranga in two worlds 2 but not required to start there first also would allow single player to get a online only companion IE your main one you registered to happen and using whatever custom sets out of some choices meaning could say have 3 sets for them and each one is a small area that you would see companions using as normal basically this makes people have the option to grind and grab the armor they want there registered companion to look like and he would wear it within the single player.

Why would online mode have an effect on the game? No nothing like that. You have to make a character from starch. And focus on that. The point is to defend the little town/castle or raid enemy base. Or Just kill anything you want. Or just go on quests. No impact to the story from this. Just a playable online. Hang out with your friends in Travens and talk. Buy items. Basically the game in an online version without rules or restrictions.  Offline mode and online mode wouldn't effect each other. You can fight what enemies you want. Made guilds. Have fun. Have your own town and castle. And build up a small Fort or castle for yourself.

It starts off as a small town. Then ends up being a castle and base for you. You have soldiers patrolling it. And defend your town if you want to. You can even have personal knights in your castle while the town gaurds roam around your city.

Your friends can move there town next to yours. That way you can send gaurds to help your friends. This allows for you to manage your city.

I think it would be way better if the online was basically just Mario Kart and item boxes were abilities.

Then you could race as Ohgren in a nug-style boxcar on wheels made of darkspawn.

More like hanging out with your friends. Doing repeat able quests. Making your own town/fort. Having fun. Putting your own back ground story for your own created online party members.  Killing enemies. Minor stuff would be crafting. And fine tuning your base.
