The game is less than 15 weeks away from release. If there is a multiplayer mode, it's surely been developed some time ago. You probably missed your window to make these kinds of suggestions last year.

MP has been talked about for quite a while now, probably even an year ago. If Bioware does not add MP to the game it's because they made a conscious decision to work solely on the SP, not because someone didn't make a thread about it at the right time.

online could be brought in as a free dlc. If not already included in the game.  I feel online should be do what you want at anytime.

Option one: ME3 Multiplayer

The first, and most obvious should be a multiplayer that we know works. And not only does this work, but it would translate very well to dragon age.

Example: rather than battlefields, these are dungeons, maybe random, maybe not, where we have to go in and clear the cave of enemies. from this we get loot (at the end of the match) experience and gold with which we can purchase things such as more specific loot, or respec tokens, etc.

Option two: co-op.

this one is a little less obvious, and wouldnt be quite as smooth. Essentially the way it works is when you pick your party, you can chose to invite a friend, who serves as a nondescript mercenary, wearing his gear from his story, and able to gain xp and gold for his own story. This would only really work if loot was copied for each person, and if theres a newgame + option to allow people to continuously play their game even after finished.

I was hopping for an online mode with no story quests. And a party you control of your own.  In Mass effect 3 online mode players blame others and I had to hear some hurtful words on weak player who stay and camp. Him and his buddy stuck together and left me and the other guy with no support. I rather have a party of my own and know my back is being watch. Then have some punk tell me I suck at the game.

Basically the online part of this game has you spending time building up your fort. And doing fort/base defends from darkspawn or others creatures.

Your own party that way you support yourself and another person who has there own party supports them self. And this knocks down the person not killing. Because the other characters you aren't controlling at the time will fight.  13 online characters can be created so that your base is protect by at least 9 of them.

Here how it starts off small base

Here what you can added to your base:

Gaurd towers, wall, barrens, archery towers, Shops, farms (are need to have guards), and other stuff. Your 13 characters are on the castle part of the base. They wonder around on it.  You get sovereign rewards from farms and shop. While guard barren cost you. So a income vs what you need to pay to keep guards.  On a note to this. With Everything Max out you will make more sovereign then what it would cost you.

Your guards stays in the city. They will not follow you in combat outside of the city.

On that note You can only have a city total of 50 soldiers and 50 archers. You can't take them with you outside the city. Like in origins there numbers will be shown. And unlike origins after time soldiers and archers will be replenish. They are only able to fight while defending your base.

I was hoping for simple multiplayer where you can invite friends over and they can take control of a companion or something, but I understand why that won't work due tot he combat mechanics and engage mode. But still, It'd be nice to explore Thedas with a friend in some capacity.

Yeah glorified Horde Mode/Tower Defense like a bazillion other games out there,Yawn and then they made playing said dull MP a requirement for getting the best destroy ending in SP only removing that requirement when it got them a lot of bad press.I'd rather they spent money innovating in the franchise then wasting appealing to the lowest common denominator, simply put there are better, more important things to allocate budget towards like a full blown Awakening style expansion, extra weapons,A.I improvements or even just fixing any bugs that occur post release.

Any one of those is far more important then wasting money appealing to the "playing wit ma bestie fwends and impressing them with my sooper sword of doom is da awesomesauce bomb" crowd, I have zero interest in having to listen to a bunch of teens and their "OMGZ look at dem bewbs" drivel
