Alot of mages here for their first playthrough huh. No wonder, their skills are so flashy in the frostbite engine. Human warrior for me so I can RP easily with some big decisions such as mages vs templar. And yeah.. Reaver specialization cuz I always wanted to learn more about the lore behind it.

I plan on playing all of them, but female human or female/male qunari are definitely top of my list.
I doubt I'll play a mage actually.

Only thing I know so far is won't be playing human for my first couple of playthroughs, play one irl.

Well im going to be stuck playing a female since sera is gay only. which is kind of a bummer since I actually really like the one male voice. But for race and class, my first will be an elf mage because that be my favorites.

First play through will most likely be Male elf mage with Varric, Dorian, and Iron bull as my main team. (though I'm sure I will switch it up from time to time when quests require certain other members).
Second play through will be human rogue (gender determined later based on the romance options that will be all revealed by then).
Third will probably be Qunari Mage-gender to be determined later as above.

I am leaning towards a Male Human Mage based off of Obi Wan, Knight Enchanter, Varric, Cassandra, Viviene or the Iron Bull as the main party.

Male human rogue for me.
Warrior in Origins, Mage in DA2 so it only seems fitting that I play a rogue next. Plus I feel a rogue will fit better with diplomacy and politics which is the way I intend to win the game.

I plan on playing a female Dalish mage first. I think. Actually I have way too many concepts in my mind, makes it hard to decide.

Male human warrior. I prefer playing male because I role play as myself in games. Now let us pray the hairstyles are good so I can actually look good, where's the fros at?

Human Knight Enchanter Mage for my first playthrough.
Human = default, get to experience the 'default' story first and foremost
Gender = Male (again, first run I usually pick male)
Mage = so I can play Knight Enchanter. How I missed my Arcane Warrior specialization from Origins so very much...
Romance= Dorian (I always do s/s m/m runs with my first playthrough, did so with Zevran as a male Tabris and Anders as a male mage). However, that may change depending on Vivienne if she's even 'manceable, which I so very hope she is. Maybe even Scribe Girl if her personality rocks and she goes for the gentlemen.
Subsequent playthroughs I'll experiment with different races/genders/classes/orientations depending on the LIs. I plan at least one playthrough of each race and one of each class. Subsequent runs will be depending on what I didn't experience and what classes/races I enjoyed the most.
Also like the idea of a dwarven lass rogue (Artificer or Assassin) that romances Sera for a femSlash Tauriel/Ki'li sort of deal and a Qunari (male or female) that rides the Iron Bull. Class not sure yet but either Warrior or Mage.

Male Qunari Warrior.
Male because I want him to be bulky. Wish Fulfillment for scrawny Gamers and that.
Qunari, because the Horns, because they are even manlier than Dwarves and the Qun is a great Thing. They also seemed to be the most reasonable factions in DA2 (which is admittedly not a hard Task to achieve) and I want to see them actually win. Was bummed to see them leaving Kirkwall.
Warrior because I am a Defense fanatic and hate dying. Warriors, especially Champions seem to be the most durable of all Classes, so they are the Number One Choice. However, I am curious if the new Rogue Specialisations can step up in Terms of defensive Potential.
For the Party I tend towards Varric as a Rogue (I don't want another Melee and something about Sera seems off to me), the Iron Bull as a Warrior (the other two look quite defensive to me and I need someone to pack a Punch) and Vivienne as a Mage (I will probably ultimately settle for the predisposed Healer, but until I know who that is, my hopes are, that it's Vivienne, for she would be my first Choice if she is a Love Interest).

I like the idea of playing a Qunari mage, mostly because I'm curious about dialogue about escaping the fate of a Serebas. Really, the character creation engine will help determine what I will pick first: skintones and stuff.
My reflex set up is Human Mage and I want Vivian, Iron Bull, Varric, and the Warden guy for my initial companions. Revealed love interest information may change that initial load out.

Female Qunari Mage. The demo has only stoked my interest.
After that, a female Dalish Mage or male Dalish Rogue. Depends whether I'm more eager to romance Sera or Dorian (presuming he's gay).
Then female dwarf rogue, then female human warrior.

Female Dwarf Rogue (Artificer, atm). Current idea for main party: Cassandra, Dorian, Varric. Could easily change up the first two slots, though.
This thread needs more dwarves.

Since they were announced: Female Qunari Mage.
I want to be a big, horned woman who can shoot fireballs ![]()
No idea who I'll romance but I know I'll probably opt for a team of Iron Bull, Dorian and Varric.
After that I'll be playing as a Rogue Elf. The gender depends on who the romance options are.

Cant decide between human or elf first, will have to see what my CC options look like, but definitely female warrior.

Female Hornless Qunari Mage. I'm not that familiar with the new specializations, but I'd preferably spec her as a healer/supporter; as one of the most important class-types in the game, it'll leave my companion slots more open for varying party members. Definitely jumping all over the chance to romance the Iron Bull (that is, if we're able).
Other playthroughs would include my Male Qunari Knight Enchanter, Female Sword & Shield Elf and a Male Dwarf Archer, to keep Varric company.

Male Dwarf Templar.
Maybe, Female Qunari Knight Enchanter, afterwards.

First will be a Female Qunari Knight-enchanter. second probably a human female rogue (not sure on spec yet). third and fourth in no particular order will be a unknowngendered elf rift mage and a warrior.

Race: Qunari.
Class: Warrior, probably S&S.
Specialization: Templar.

As of now, Human female rogue. However I'm waiting to hear the American male voice actor and maybe I'll think of Male Qunari Warrior.

Now that I have more info on the Female Qunari it is now even harder to decide between my favorite race the dwarves and being a qunari First! hmmmm
Well regardless of who I pick first My first Female Qunari will no doubt be a mage! My first Female Dwarf will no doubt be a warrior (sword and shield).
