I originally planned on playing a female elven mage Inquisitor who studied Necromancy and planned to bring death and destruction to anyone who crossed her path (minus Cullen whom she planned to romance) with the help of her trusty bog unicorn Necrose; however, after becoming more interested in Bull, I've decided to roll a male Qunari mage Inquisitor instead. He'll study weapons + magic, prefer peaceful solutions to outright killing things, and explore all of Thedas atop his trusty steed Black Marsh. Of course, this is assuming black horses even exist in the DA universe. All I've seen so far have been dark bay in colour.
Oh, right, he'll also have his romantic sights set on Bull. It might be a challenge, but he'll turn him soft, yet! Soft is short for softie, so get yer minds outta the gutter!

my main Inquisitor will be a female Dalish elf mage. She'll either be a Knight Enchanter or Rift Mage.

My forth inquestion will most likely be a human rouge named slickback and wearing the sex hat all the time.

Male Human Warrior. I like it typical.

My preference would be for a rogue inquisitor, but I am trying to break the mold of my protagonists in my "Main playthrough" and go mage. Elf however is true to my preference! I love playing elves in this series since they are not the typical Tolkien brand.

I wish they'd show more for the other classes. I just see SO MUCH mage activity. I mean, it's great, I'm definitely playing as a mage for my first runthrough, but give a little love to the other classes please ![]()

As for her personality and romance- I'm going go wing it as I go. No use trying to micromanage it. I was pretty set on Cullen but I think that I'm going to keep my options open and see who suits me best in-game.
I enjoy reading what everyone's plans are!

Well, I intend to play through all the races eventually! But my first one is either going to be a Female Qunari, not sure class yet, though the mage did intrigue me a bit since she's not a part of the Qun and I thought that'd make for some interesting interaction with the lore, or a Female Human rogue as I always do love the thieves.
I'm definitely aiming for the Iron Bull for a romance, as well as Cullen. I think as more information trickles down from Bioware prior to release I'll be able to make a decision. I'd love to say I know exactly what I'm making at this very moment, but I keep changing my mind as I see more content! ![]()

I really can't decide between a human male warrior or mage. When I think I've finally made up my mind, I find another reason to unmake it.

Be a mage ashamed of his mageness so he uses a sword and shield and never uses magic.

My first playthrough, which will be my canon, will be a male elven mage, probably Knight Enchanter spec. He'll follow in the footsteps of a female human mage Warden and a female human mage Hawke. Can you tell I like mages and magic? ![]()

Well I was all set to play a female qunari mage. Although now, I feel like if I play a mage, my playthrough wont't be 100% objective. So, I think my first playthrough will be a female human rogue. Second playthrough will be female qunari mage and the third will be an elf female warrior. I won't play a dwarf unless Varric is a LI.

I plan to play a Qunari Knight Enchanter named, Kaas Adaar. He is a qunari mage who prefers not to rely solely on magic, instead he uses it to boost his physical abilities. Kaas views magic as something that must be controlled instead of weaponized, despite its usefulness in war and medicine.

I just did an informal poll of this topic regarding the intended first gender/race/class playthrough and the results are interesting; thought I might post the results to see if anyone would care to know. I added a tick to each category only if the intended subject was firm (i.e. if someone knew they'd be playing a human female but was undecided on the class, I would not add a tick for class. This is why the numbers will not be even). Here is what I found:
Male 57
Female 66
Human 50
Qunari 32
Elf 30
Dwarf 8
Warrior 28
Rogue 27
Mage 61
There are going to be a lot of mages for that first playthrough.
I suspect that's actually a big reason why there is such a low showing of support for the dwarves: no mage option.
