Hello i'm new here so please don't kill me if made topic in wrong place. :)

I want ask question about game ,so perhaps i get to the point. I'm optimistic person and im not big fan of very dark stories like Witcher or Game of Thrones ,that are more popular examples. I want also note that i don't completely avoid dark products as long they aren't too dark , i have played first dragon age and i liked that.I have played also in second game but it was more depressive than first game and in my opinion was worse because of many reasons. So my question how much dark , grim and depressive game is ,is that more like first game or perhaps went toward Witcher? This is more question to Bioware than players ,but i don't know if i will get response from them , so others can respond as well.

I keep up with news about game and demo shows rather dark moment in game but it is hard judge game on that many games have dark moments like Kotor where your protagonist and team is tortured but whole game isn't very dark.So what do you think game is for me should i buy it ,or perahps game isn't for me?

I want to thank you for time and replies and sorry for potential misspellings.

I have a feeling the game may touch emotions all in different ways, there will be dark moments there will be light, but there is a war on and there is demons abroad an huge potential for hurt, but there will also be moments to cherish i think, you as the controller i hope will have a huge say at the outcomes.

Dark well ofc it will be there will be no stopping that, be upto you though to turn it light ;)

All i can say is if you enjoy Dragon Age buy it and see for yourself, dont take anyones thumbs up or thumbs down regarding it, make your own opinion, if you dont like it well atleast you tried, but if u do well all the more enjoyment for you :)

Well there are certainly elements of dark fantasy but I don't think it will be all dark all the time. Bioware likes to do friendships, relationships, comradery, comedy ect so there is usually allot of fun to be had in their games. Your not always going to have positive outcomes where everything turns out great but that doesn't mean they wont be in the game.

I don't really know how dark it will get, da2 had everyone going crazy and there was little Hawke could do to stop it but I don't think this game will be much like DA2.

Okay, I'll find some other reason...

I think that's a fair preference.

I expect that Dragon Age: Inquisition will be as dark as Origins, and not as dark as DA II. While DA is influenced by Game of Thrones and the Witcher, it's not attempting to copy them. Its viewpoint has always been less bleak and more heroic.

DA:I has already shown choices could have negative consequences with the Crestwood decision so the story will likely be dark in some ways. I expect there will be a balance though.

I prefer lighter stories so i think it is matter of taste however, it doesn't mean that i hate dark stories as long they aren't too dark.Yes i know it is hard specify what too dark means for me so i put examples like Witcher.I was fine with first dragon age it was quite dark but also was optimistic in many ways but i suspect some peoples may find first dragon age as not very dark it is matter of opinion.
