If (and that's a big if...) EA/Bioware ever decide to make an about face regarding their obsolete points system and giving PC owners at least parity when it comes to DLC sales..sure, why not?

However, given their track record of customer disservice I don't see that happening any time in the near, distant, or indeed, any future.

That is not an accurate reply. Explain if I should or if I should not.

That's what I'm questioning.

Whether or not you should is, of course, entirely up to you.

That being said, at the present time, I personally wouldn't.  As I stated in my previous posts, I feel that paying $40-50 for the single-player DLC is outrageous, especially when one can pick up ME3 via Origin for as little as $5 ($7.50 for digital deluxe ed. which includes From Ashes) during one of their sales.

I want ALL the DLC. ALL. OF. IT.

Besides that, I have ME2 on Steam, ME3 is pretty decent, even has multiplayer, but as everyone knows EA lacks the sense to release all their games on Steam.

No Bioware points are fine. They are not overpriced and for a single dlc with 3 hours+ gametime you pay only 10 € so np. They are fine let them how they are

If that is the case, why does Bioware not put that system into place with console gamers if that system is "fine"?  All I want is to be treated the same as console gamers in regards to discounts in Mass Effect 3 dlc.

Listen if they drop the price of dlc there could be a chance where the dlc drops in quality. Is that what you want? I don't care about the price as long as I feel it's worth it. Do I own all the dlc? No. Why? Because I don't feel that the extra weapons or costumes of ME2 are worth it. I only buy dlc that extend the gameplay and if they are long enough to give me satisfaction.

Also metawanderer please change your photo. If you don't know where it is from then fine but please don't have that photo as that is from a really creepy game. I know I don't have a photo but thats cause I'm lazy.

All I am asking is for PC gamers to get sales that the console players have already gotten in regards to Leviathan, Omega, Citadel.  And yes I know my avatar is from Kana Little Sister, and if you played the VN or looked at any guide, you would know that it is not what it seems to be.  What is your problem anyway?

If you'd bothered to read the posts on this topic, you'd realize that this discussion is with regards to an archaic and unnecessarily complicated process of purchasing DLC (namely Bioware points) for PC users, as well as having sales of single-player DLC, namely From Ashes, Leviathan, Omega and Citadel at 50% off for the 360 and PS3 multiple times, while PC owners have been left hanging in the wind by EA/Bioware.  And what the hell kind of logic makes you think that quality for DLC, of which the newest (Citadel) is well over a year old at this point, will suffer when it's already been released?

I personally don't give a damn about any weapon/costume packs or any other useless fripperies that EA/Bioware tries to peddle, but it rubs me the wrong way when they have had repeated sales on the 360 and PS3 for major, single-player, story-expanding DLC which you so cherish, and in one instance, GIVING the Omega DLC away for FREE for PS3 owners, a DLC which a PC gamer like me has to shell out $15 for, nearly two years after its release (for a DLC that, from what reviews I've watched and read, for $15 seems a dubious value at best).  Hell, even FOUR years after the release of Mass Effect TWO, PC gamers STILL have to pay full price for DLC for that game, while again, Xbox gamers could purchase them at 50% off during sales...

Why the hell should I have to pay $40-50 for DLC for the same game (which during sales can be picked up for as little as $5-7.50, even on the PC) that my friends got on their 360s or PS3s for only $12-25 when the opportunities presented themselves?  Opportunities, that thus far, have been utterly non-existent for those of us who play ME on their PCs...

Exactly. Oh and just to rub salt into everyone's wounds right now - Xbox 360 ME2 and 3 DLC is currently on sale 50% off. A little fairness is all we are asking for...

I would like to highlight this original post ....

Having most of the DLC from BioWare for DA and ME on xbox360 and having purchased the games on PC as well,  I resent the fact that I even have to purchase them AGAIN.

Having loved to play these games despite their many shortcomings it has come to a point where I just hate to see them in my library, because the DLC is the real stinker in the soup.  I rather give up on all of BioWare's games than pay.  The sensible thing would be to go at least 75% off the  price on the DLC for people that already have them on different platforms. Why is there no flexibility in this very attractive marketing hole?  Well, at least tell us who is responsible for the price marketing or has it been left rudderless. Something just doesn't feel right.

Cool, a new thread. I think I posted last year on another thread talking about the same issue.

I still haven't bought a single singleplayer DLC...

The ME3 ending left a bitter aftertaste. I don't want to shell out 40€ for the DLCs to partially fix this.

Until Bioware puts the DLCs on a (at least) 50% sale I probably don't get in the mood for more ME. Next ME? Hype level 0%...

I get it. It's a business. On the other hand, it was never so easy to be "not a gamer" (and I play since the C64...).

Like the other big publisher with its AC series. AC3 left a negative impression. Paid only 10€ for ACIV. It was great, but they only made 10€ with my purchase (and no DLCs).

Unity with bugs/performance issues. Ok, waiting for the bargain bin... (Like probably with the next ME. Base game will at some point hit the 10€ region. DLCs? No thank you).

And yes, the points system is super stupid. Like consumers spent more money, because points are easier spend then money.

(Even Microsoft gets it... and they're usually slow...)

Some thoughts...

PS: Like I wrote, it's a business. EA is probably making less money with PC gamers. That's a real problem. PC gamers are like "sure I spent 2000 bucks on my new rig, but games? Yeah, bought the key day two for 20" (like iphone kiddies "Bought an iphone for 700 quid! Yep jailbrake, don't have to pay 0,99 for apps"). So, while the base game is cheap, they try to make more money with the DLC. They simple make more money with console gamers (absolute and average?).

PPS: It's not like I don't spent money on media I like. I'm 30 and earn my cash. I pay for a video and music streaming service. I still buy Blu-ray discs and CDs. I still buy full price collector editions games. But... I don't know, some things don't feel right.

PPPS: But again, easy to be "not a gamer". DLC containing core elements of the game. Microtransactions. Technical issues on release. Force multiplayer on you. No gamecontroller support (yes, I like some PC games on my big plasma and a gamepad in my hands). Always online DRM. Annually rehash. Other nasty stuff.

On PC, there're so many good and cheap games (i. e. dragon age for free xD). You don't have to support things you don't like. (Except you suffer from "need pre-order special DLCs crap"itis.)

PPPPS: But, it's a business. EA probably making good money. So, why change things. People complaining don't matter, if Joe "da Sucker" Sixpack still spends the dough.

+1 for this. Why do I have to deal with some extra curerncy to buy DLC for some games? Integrate it on the Origin client and be done with it.

I can't believe "Bioware points" is still a thing on pc. I'll buy the dlc when you accept cash.
