This video was great. I only got one question though. I remember reading about those who don't import characters from ME1, will be given "a short introduction" to the ME2 when they start a new character. Now that screen that pops up in the game menu that allows you to controll the choices you made in ME1 when you click your imported character, will that screen also be shown when you create a new character in ME2?
Meaning will those who don't import characters from ME1 also be able to choose what happend in ME1 before they start the game?

From my understanding, though what you're asking is a little confusing, there is an introduction into ME2 for selecting "New Game" and the choice of "Import ME1 Character" there is apparently subtle ways of double checking you made the choices you wanted to in that particular playthrough.
I read somewhere that they do this through dialogue mostly, probably similar to KOTOR II, asking the PC if Revan was a man/woman and what role they chose. Hope that helps buddy.

You don't "control" the choices from that screen, the screen they showed only displays what choices you already made. It probably won't be there for games started in ME2.
Casey did say though, that an in-game conversation near the start would enable you to decide certain things, provided you didn't import.

Are you sure Marlina?
I thought that yes, while that would make sense for non-imports - that they also had something similar for imported playthroughs.

This is from the Best Buy Q&A:
Guest-73: Is it possible for imported Shepherds to change history when asked questions about the past, 1984 style?
CaseyH-ME2: There's some confusion about how the game sets your "canon" for the backstory. One report said that you just answer some questions to set what has happened - not true...
CaseyH-ME2: The way it works is that if you import an ME1 character, that sets all the backstory details of what has happened so far. If you start from scratch, there is a set of default events that work better for new players to the ME universe....
CaseyH-ME2: Then, when you get through the intro, you have a conversation where you are asked a few questions - if you are in an imported character, they're just testing your memory and will tell you if your answer is wrong. But if you have a new character, you are able to set some last details through the answers to your questions.
----
What I hope this means is that I can make a character in ME2 from scratch and choose major decisions KOTOR 2-style. Specifically that I can clarify the fate of a certain krogan and multi-racial group... As much as I enjoy ME1, I'd prefer not to have to run though it for the 7th time just to set this specific character up.
