I am a LONG time Bioware fan, day 1 in fact. I see where this poster is coming from. The Witcher barb aside, I too am starting to feel a little alienated.

The point I'm hoping to illustrate is that if you have historically received the majority of the attention, receiving equal attention feels like alienation. The example I'm specifically referring to from the link is the school classroom examples where teachers forced themselves to focus 50/50 on interacting with boys and girls, and some boys felt that women received 90% of the attention.
Perceptions are often tricky especially if they deviate from the status quo.
(The rest of the article is an interesting read too, IMO, but I mostly bring it up to hopefully grant some clarity to why you feel that way). I'm a straight guy. I don't feel as though DAI marginalizes my interests.
