So, if Sera is lesbian.. that means there's a homosexual male too, right?

Which would suggest there are 2 heterosexual companions.

So speculate away.

I am fairly sure the homosexual companion is Dorian ( 2 homosexual elves out of 2 would be overkill, so it can't be Solas and I doubt it's Blackwall either ).

However, that should mean there are 2 heterosexual companions. Who do you think those are?

I am fairly sure it's Vivienne and Blackwall.

lol, yeah. guess i am worried this may blow back on Bioware and if it does, we may not get LGBT romances again in awhile. Seen so many guys get worked up about Sera, and straight guys are just not used to having an option they want limited.

I'm suspecting that it's probably not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things and I wouldn't worry too much about this.

I am a LONG time Bioware fan, day 1 in fact.  I see where this poster is coming from.  The Witcher barb aside, I too am starting to feel a little alienated.

As a reference point, take a peek at this discussion about how much women really talk: http://www.pbs.org/s...rejudice/women/

The point I'm hoping to illustrate is that if you have historically received the majority of the attention, receiving equal attention feels like alienation.  The example I'm specifically referring to from the link is the school classroom examples where teachers forced themselves to focus 50/50 on interacting with boys and girls, and some boys felt that women received 90% of the attention.

Perceptions are often tricky especially if they deviate from the status quo.

(The rest of the article is an interesting read too, IMO, but I mostly bring it up to hopefully grant some clarity to why you feel that way).  I'm a straight guy.  I don't feel as though DAI marginalizes my interests.

You know what I dislike? This thread provides an excellent example. The whiny person who feels like they are getting segregated because a LI was taken away from them, and the Self-righteous social justice warriors who gleefully waits for those types of responses and go all out on them.

Apologies, that was just an annoying trend I keep find on these forums and I had a need to vent.

Anyway...I'm pretty sure the LIs will be evenly placed so it is fair to everyone. I doubt there is much to worry about.

No one is gleefully waiting.  I suspect it's more likely frustrating to see stuff like this than "oh boy oh boy."

Yes schadenfreude comes out, but if you look at the root cause of it, it's often because they are denied access time and time again (and told to shut up about it) and now that a handful of times the tables are reversed, they're hoping for some perspective and understanding for their situation too.

I prefer to not see the schadenfreude type of posts since they lead to escalation (such as your response), but at the same time I think people fail to understand why the posts are created in the first place.

On a final note, if people want to direct their anger towards the manly ugliness of Cassandra, direct it towards me, the straight white guy that thinks Cassandra is very attractive.

Recall that some of us were disappointed that we couldn't romance Wynne. Not all people like the same things, or like them for the same reasons.

I agree (I think your post was in agreement since I was trying to point out that different people like different things).  It's part of the challenges of trying to make content like this.

I openly concede that there will be players that are simply not interested in any of our romance options.  It's just sort of a reality I think.

It's not a filter if I can still see the romance threads.

Then exercise some discipline and ignore it regardless.  Alternatively, abstain from the forum if it's THAT much of an issue for you.

Passive aggressive posts about how much you don't like this particular topic isn't productive and in fact, I'd consider this a warning.

I find her very attractive too. She's exactly the type of lady I'd switch teams for, so to speak. I really don't get the complaints. I guess some people are confused because she's a woman yet her breasts aren't popping out of her armor and she's got a practical haircut?

It's mostly, I think, that the look isn't as similar to DAO's as they would have preferred.
