Well, IB being bisexual would certainly break stereotypes, which I'm all for.
Bisexual males are so rare in media, rarer than gay men I think. Very few people would look at Bull and suspect that he was anything but straight, so him being bi would be fascinating for the sheer novelty of it.
But what if "anyone he is certain he wouldn't break" means he is afeared of breaking a lady?

Poor Solas is like a hot potato. So many straight gals are hoping he's gay and gay guys are hoping he's straight so that we get access to other options. I kind of feel bad for him. In any other game, he would be perfectly okay (maybe not great, but okay). But in this game, when there are so many sexy fellas, he just doesn't muster up.
It was certainly a unique reason for hating on ME3, and I have to admit you don't see many of those

UNFORTUNATELY, I have heard Dorian's voice and seen his sweet Calrissean face up close and I am not giving that up for the world.
But who knows, I am a notorious VA lurver I might drop even Cullen for the right VA from Solas and Blackwall.
I just can't get attached to Solas while we know literally nothing about him other than that he's an elf and a mage and knows things about the Fade. I feel like we even know more about Scribbles than that!
I mean, with Blackwall all it took was a few pieces of concept art showing different sides of his personality. If they did the same for Solas, maybe I'd warm up to him ...

Yeah, there is this. All of the other concept art from the companions had something for the characters. Whereas in the two we had of Solas he looks vastly different in one to the other and he is just... there. Watching.

Funny thing, out of all the possible LIs... I don't think I am interested at all in IB. Mostly because I was hoping for a Keith David voiced Qunari LI to salve some long lost Goliath/Maza OTP feels and I am incredibly disappointed the qunari doesn't sound like my favorite Gargoyle.

This is me. I was all set for an Anders romance in my first Dragon Age II playthrough and then... FENRIS. I haven't been able to romance anyone else... ever.
If Solas ends up being the gay option (and this is a pretty big IF), I personally wouldn't mind. It just means (so long as he isn't race-gated), I'd play a qunari warrior in one of my playthroughs.
But I've always had in my mind that I'll play an elfin male mage on first go, regardless of who's romanceable. Whatever Bioware decides for those options, my character would work around it. But I've a preference for Dorian by virtue of being a companion, than Cullen, who's not. So, I think I'm in a good spot.

Obviously the only way to settle this is for all the male companions to take their pants off so we can judge properly. Cullen should stand in for Cole.
(We do not need to judge any of Cole's body parts, because that would be creepy and wrong.)

Blackwall's thighs are hella thick. To the point where I believe he has his own body model. Which is good. Based on his concept art, I would have been disappointed if he had the regular human body model.

Dorian > Solas does seem to be the popular choice. I kinda want them to go completely reverse and go with either Blackwall or Iron Bull.

Definitely not.
Dorian is the most likely candidate by far if there is a gay romance. Cullen will not be gay (but he could be bi), IB has essentially been confirmed bi so if he was a romance making him SS only would be very odd, Blackwall seems like the one who won't be romancable, Varric won't be gay and I just don't think they would make both the elves gay either.
So it could be Solas or even Blackwall I guess but anyone else kinda contradicts previous knowledge of that character (not that that makes it impossible). I would actually be happy with Solas as a romance but like most others here I prefer Dorian.
