Ok, so now we know that there will be race restrictions with romance. I have always tended to like what bioware did and never questioned anything they did. But, I get the feeling that since that many people don't play dwarf, they'll give us the short hand of the stick, and this makes me very sad :/.
But, nevertheless I will continue to keep supporting the dwarves as a whole

I'm actually 100% fine with the romances being restricted by race
I always thought it was ridiculous in DAO that everyone was willing to have a romance with the GW regardless of race (not the dwarves, but the only choice was Oghren and just EWWWWW). Hundreds of years of tensions between the races forgotten because this is a Grey Warden! Sure, it could happen, but not with as little effort put into the relationship as was shown in DAO.
I would love to say that Bioware has realized that role playing romance requires more to the relationship than sex. That they have matured and relationships will develop more through interactions that don't involve nudity. But the meshes are probably just a pain to deal with across multiple races 
Makes sense but still, I don't think there would be a dwarven romance in DA:I.
I'm hopeful I will still be able to romance Cassandra with a dwarven character. If I can't, I am willing to choose a different race, but, as a big dwarf fan, I don't want to have to do that. I hope we find out sooner rather than later.

Thanks I know maybe I shouldn't base my race choice on the available romance options, but I *really* want to have my character romance Cassandra Pentaghast 
So I'm just going to have to keep my fingers crossed
