I say no.

Reason, I maxed what I could with Skyrim equipment by making my own armor and weapons with my choice e nchantments. Having this gear I created before questing found all relics and artifacts to be useless. The only thing that hurt me was a surprise elder dragon attack. Otherwise even they was one hit wonders with my axe.

So, high end gear versus unleveled creatures wouldnt be fun. Killing Aduin was a joke. Dragons Dogma, I finished it once but never went back to finish through my second play through with NG+ yet as no real challenge.

many games involving new game plus mechanism removes creature natural cap, meaning, in dragon age:origins-awakening context, lv 35 rats and such.

additionally, new opponents and rewards, intended for previously "maxed" characters, come into being.

think of it as an expansion pack, not ice crown citadel re-run as a lv 90 monk.

Eh I'd only want the new game + that results in you being laughably overpowered and steamrolling the game.

And if someone didn't want that well...you don't have to have a NG+ run.

I'm all for Dark Souls esque new game plus, where literally everything can kill you in one or two hits, even with the best gear on.

Oh and extra, tough enemies spawn as well, yay!

Dark souls suck. Don't even compare that chump of a game to dragon age. Dark souls suck. Dragon age rocks.

Ok, changed my post to shorter version.

If game is like Dragons Dogma, then possibly, though never finished NG+. Skyrim, already changed difficulty but still killed things too fast. Wasn't that exciting, nor was DDs second play through. Sure died, fast when hit, if hit.

I rather stick with replayability that changes due to pc changes and choices of that pc more than running around with special gear. The reason I prefer Bioware games over any others. Im not into hack-n-slash types like Diablo series.

New game + could be used for aquiring all the different advisor/agent exclusives. Say in your first playthrough you tailored your inquisition/keep to favour leliana and intellegence, at the start of new game + you retained perks or items unlocked with Leliana and move onto Cullen and military theme. Your next new game + you would have Leliana and Cullens perks and move onto Scribe girl. That would mean 3 playthroughs just to unlock all the advisor/agent perks and on the 4th playthrough you would have all advisors perks from the start or when you first aquire the keep. This could mean retaining all the materials used for crafting/creating weapons found through agent quests rather than the weapons themselves, this would maybe help you feel more empowered in new game + and also keep a level of replayability.

I'm fond of most forms of new game plus however I don't want the enemies to become more difficult. I don't hunt down every little bit of experience and wealth I can get for the game to become more difficult. Building my character into a power house is part of the enjoyment for me. I really enjoyed it on Parasite Eve when I had Aya so over developed that enemies took damage simply from being in her presence.

Those who talk about the enemies becoming more difficult seem more interested in a nightmare mode then a new game plus.

Now as for anyone who's about to claim I'm looking for an easy mode. Only if easy mode let you build and customize your own top end gear, gave you access to all spells and abilities, more then enough wealth to do whatever you wanted and required some effort to unlock.

It's sort of like setting down for a pin and paper session for me. I don't want the game master to look at me and say, "Here is 100 bonus experience points build yourself a monster of a character." Well unless the other players are getting the same treatment. However, I most assuredly want to keep hold of my mehket researcher Vanessa who's survived several major campaigns and developed into quite a power house. She's my character and I've lovingly built her into quite a beast.

Of course even if they don't put in a NG+ feature I hope I can build something of one for myself due to the respawning enemies. In Kingdom's of Amauler for example I walked around being careful not to complete any actual quest in the game. I just gathered materials to build my armor, purchased skill points and leveled my character up. It took a few days if I remember correctly. I then held onto that save in case I wanted to play through the game again. I did the same to Skyrim and similar to Jade Empire. As well as many other games. When I was younger I'd typically spend 12 hours the first time I hit the world map just level grinding. These days I can go longer though the maximum has been 128 hours in Star Ocean's case.  With a true new game plus feature though I can do this while enjoying the storyline.

I can see why people would like the new game+ option in games like dark souls and mass effect, but I don't see it really working for dragon age. I assume there will be a certain level limit for the classes and for what abilities you can learn and use, so it would be mostly stuck if you progressed past endgame. It worked fine for ME3 because you had the space and opportunity to expand on your already learned talents. That said, you should also get a good amount of time to use your maxed out character that you've put so much work into before the game ends. It doesn't make sense to me in games that give you the good spells and gear with literally 1 hour left in the game.

You shouldn't have to go through multiple playthroughs to get all the juicy parts of the game.

You go through different playthroughs to experience the game in a new way, from a new perspective with a new class or character.

Sometimes I like using my OP character in a new game. Just going through and having everything maxed and having a truly "perfect" runthrough. That'd be ideal.

I personally would be in favor of a New-Game plus where we kept all our things, weapons/abilities and such included along with higher enemy difficulty. This is very akin to Borderlands 2 where there was an Extreme Vault Hunter mode *totallyforgottheactualnameit'sbeenawhile* and unlocking a higher difficulty game while still carrying over everything. I'd like that. I think they're also keeping their tradition of allowing us to load our old save and allowing us to do whatever once the story's done. Hopefully not like DA2 where we were locked in Hawke's home lol. But they already mentioned one dungeon that will probably only be winnable after endgame.

This could also be related to Persona 4 where a new game plus would be a load file and you can start it at any difficulty you want? But DA already allows us to change difficulty in the heat of battle so it's whatevs. In any case, NG+ would be awesome, especially if they offered trophies/achievements for us completionists ^_^

I hope new game + is in i hated having to wait till act 3 to get the champion armour. But i read it was going to be in Da2 but there was not enough time so it might be in this time.

I disagree. Some of the suggestions put forward have been a bit....off the wall, but a new game+ similar to mass effect 2 sounds ideal to me. Keep your skill progression, get some bonus starting resources, enemies are still a challenge. This would mean that the enemies in DAI would have to level to match you initially, but it wouldn't mean they all have to scale. Just that at the start of new game + all their levels/stats are boosted to an appropriate level.

Yes, I definitely want a New Game + mode, mostly because I find Dragon Age's combat dull until you hit around Level  8-10 and get a reasonable amount of skills.

Simply letting you start at Level 10 would be fine also I suppose...

Opps guess im late il ask anyway.
1.How are you tackling side quests in the game will it be simply collect x amount of this or will they have interesting stories?
2.Does each region have different have different wildlife specific to them?
3.Are you planning to have a new game plus mode like you did with some of your other games?
4.Will each dragon have different attacks or will they be the same each time? thank you very much.

BioWareDAIElite in Dragon Age II1 minute ago
1. We've tried to make the side quests really interesting.
2. You won't see a snow fox hanging out in a desert
3. You can keep exploring and getting lost in the world of DAI after the main story so NGP doesn't make much sense anymore. We've even built specific regions that are so high level you'd only want to tackle them after the main story.
4. Dragons won't be the same in combat each time but they do share some characteristics since they are all massive scaled lizards with sharp claws and big teeth that like to each people :) - Cameron Lee

I'm so ok with this. DA2 ended and you couldn't go back for anything. As long as there is a way to enjoy your character after tha main story I'm happy. Whether it be NG+ or in this case just being able to continue (and even with past end game content!) I'm happy.
