I wonder if Qunari lock horns when they fight each other. It is something that I'd like to see especially if we have some Tal-Vashoth mercenaries in our forces as suggested in the character section of dragonage.com

I don't think it is a big ask just something cool, interesting and could make for an awesome charge attack for Iron Bull.

They would just drop their level 99 weapons and look at each other, push back the ground twice or three times and rushed to each other with their horns.  Other qunari warriors would watch this spectacle as a sight of marvel while you and your companions would just scratch your head.

Or just imagine during love making.  Your cutscene would include awkward untangling your horns with each other.

What I'm curious about is why the sudden shift from DAII style horns to actual bull horns.

So his name would make sense of course! :wizard:

or maybe qunari horns come in all kinds of shapes and sizes?

Maybe, but given that there weren't that many differences in DAII (the Arishok had unique horns, as did the guy from MotA. Solat I think) I can't really fathom that. It's possible, but it'd be nice if we had at least been told that... oh... sometime prior to the Iron Bull coming into the spotlight.

They seem to be very varied:

One large horn each side:

Two Smaller Horns per side:

Bull Horns:

Small Horns:

Saarebas have cutoff or twisted horns:

Physically, those horns have a shape that implies they're used for show, not for use...

If I recall correctly the female qunari in the demo didn't have bull horns either so I'm assuming that qunari horns come in different shapes and maybe the qunaris that are part of the Qun have to shape their horns a certain way to symbolize their role in the Qun after all it doesn't seem like its very leanet against standing out in anyway or form.

For my qunari Inquisitor, I want horns more like the Arishok in DA2 but with one smaller one on each side.

Sten really doesn't apply to a discussion about the Qunari that do have horns. I know he is an anomaly in Qunari society -- hornless Qunari being meant for great things -- but in the context of the discussion about the Qunari that do have horns he's rather irrelevant.

As for varied, we have only two types to go off of from DAII. Concept art is nice but it's not always indicative of anything and often the final result is different. I'd say that the Arvaarad's horns and the Arishok's horns are only different because of length and that if the Arvaarad let his grow out they'd form to be eventually the same as the Arishok's.

Of course, we don't know the horn growth patterns of the Qunari in general, so even if it is possible for them to grow the same way their horns could be like our hair where it's all relative to the individual.

Still, whatever the case may be, I just think it's odd as hell to have such a sudden shift without warning. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing as I think Iron Bull looks badass.

It's just odd.

If it can happen...

They might tack on some kind of explanation like they did when they switched from hornless Qunari (Sten, all the Qunari mercenaries, that one shopkeeper guy) to horned Qunari with hornless ones being "special." Even if they don't, they redesigned the elves and darkspawn without any explanation so there is a precedent.
