I was watching the new trailer of mass effect 2 (launch trailer) and there was a pirate guy telling people to download the game free and shi*  bioware puts their time and money in making such great games as mass effect 2 and these cheap bastard all they do is download the game for free, how in the hell is that suppose to help the economy? I might have understanded if they at that moment didnt had or could make any kind of money but no they seem to enjoy it and dont care, according to the way they were saying it, its like "fu-- bioware we are getting it free"

so my real question is WHY did they make this game for pc? they CERTINELY dont deserve it at all! look what they doing now, mass producing that game for free, this guy said there is already 1700 people downloading tha torrent file thats a lot of money if u multiply that by 50.

They made this game for the PC, because the PC is amazing.
And pirates are cool.

They make the game for PC because the amount of sales they are going to get far outweighs the loss to piracy. RPG's, especially Bioware RPG's, always do well on the PC.

Oh, and it was cracked for the XBOX360.

Um no they shouldn't.

And to say PC gamers don't deserve it is a rather ignorant comment. You do know 360 games get pirated too. I bought the game and I'm a PC player so don't act like all PC gamers cheat and steal. It depends on the morality of the person.

P.S.: CERTINELY is spelled Certainly.

comapare to the pc? dont make me laugh i knew people who did that (for 360) and it was nothing compare to the ones for pc and i am sure u must be a pc owner for mass effect 2, but i hope u dont get too defensive about it cause its the truth, pc its the worst system to make a game because of the pirating otherwise it would have been the best, (sorry for all of u pc game fans out there but its just that those pc pirates making the pc look like a bad place to make games)

I just hate pirates, but i hope bioware learns that it was a mistake to make it for pc.

Well, pirates do what pirates do. They are jackasses for not spending the money on developers who make the game. But they don't give a sh*t. All I can do is buy my own version of the game.

The revenue for the legitimate PC game sales will BY FAR outweigh the "losses" of a few people pirating it. PC gaming is here to stay, deal with it.

i hear you man

...at least at the first part. PC really should get this game... i mean we have the first one it'd be kinda cruel to cut us off of Mass Effect (its like sending a addict to rehab!...er... sort of). Illegally obtained games happen all the time. If people really wanted to get a game without paying for it no form of securom or DRM or even steam could stop these committed low lives. btw, it is possible to hack your x-box so you can play copied games too. Really in my opinion buy the f'n game its like 60 dollar! geez if you have to pinch pennies for 3 months to save up for it than it just makes the game soo much better once you finally play it (or better yet 'visit' a friends house to play it). It supports the developers, it supports the economy, and your not breaking the law (unless your less than 17 and trying to buy the game).

thats my 50 cents, (you can keep it to buy mass effect 2)

Morality? pshhh. People don't buy games to support the company anyway. But hardcore ME fans don't mind paying the 50 to 70 bucks for the game.

They make games for PC because that is where they started and they still have Day one Bioware fans playing games on the pc.

With any game you will have people stealing it if they can.Don't matter how cheap or expensive the game is.Platform don't matter.

Yet,you will still see this game fly off the shelf.Almost a total sell thru on the various CE's

The biggest problem I think is that pirates get the game earlier. I think that might drive many people to pirate the game that would otherwise buy it.

There is a solution to this, but many people wouldn't like it, especially brick and mortar stores.

Release the digital versions first. Ship out the game to retailers just 1 or 2 days before it's released on the internet, so that stores will have it only a few days after, but there won't be retailers breaking street dates or employees taking home a copy to upload.

Besides, I'm sure some of the pirates will eventually buy the game. I know I have to kick myself not to do it just to get it before thursday next week.
